Here is what Eric wrote yesterday to announce the Baby's birth...

Hello All!

Eric here, the often mentioned-though rarely seen in public, husband of
Carri and dad of the Peterson clan. Perhaps you've heard of me...

Bethany Hope was born around 3:30 am 9 July 08. 8Lbs 8.4 oz, 20 in - new
family record. Baby did her best to come out sunny side up, but all is well,
and momma and little tiny girl are both resting comfortably. (Uh, yes, at
the hospital.) Let all documentation and historical records show that the
intrathecal anesthetic worked like a champ. Thanks for the prayers: we were
two for two with a quick and relatively painless birth.

Pictures to come...ah..soon. (sorry, kids - I read blogs, I don't build
'em.)

And, just for the record, Bethany won the baby poll.  It was just coincidence that we picked it.  Photos to come very soon.  Right now I have a baby to fall in love with.

I love that line...right now I have a baby to fall in love with!
I'm so happy for you all! Wow...how delightful! Praying for a joyful transition for everyone. Another blessing to have and hold.
I had the intrathecal for Connor, Micah and Sophie...and really liked it. After going ALL natural this last time around with Charis sunny side up, that epidural/intrathecal sounds fine if there's a next time! A much pleasanter time...
