Jealousy gets in the way.....

Hello bloggers,

I apologize for not writing in so long.  I hope a lot of you still read my blog.

I don't know about you but I get jealous a lot and that is very sinful.  It just happens.  I hear about someone else's achievements and that is my jealousy.  All I have to do is pray to the Lord for help.  If you start to feel jealous just think about the talents God has given you.  I may not be a great writer and I wish I was but God has given me the great talent of art.  He may have given you the talent of singing or writing, painting or gardening.  Think about how God chooses only a special few to become famous. If you continue to feel jealous instead of being happy with your life, content with everything you have and thanking the Lord Jesus for all those things, then you will have an unhappy life. Sometimes I feel like I have an unhappy life but instead of feeling that way, I could turn my life around and be content with everything He has given me.

Jealousy will never lead to anything Godly.  I have to go now but keep in mind that you can lead a wonderful life when you put God before jealousy.

In Jesus,

We are very behind in thanking you for the comment and the birthday wishes! We love you so much and your family has a special place in our hearts ALWAYS. We may not be close, but we are always together in our hearts. We think you are the most awesome artist around! Your duck stamp picture is super and we even saved it on our computer. I don't think you mind, do you? We want to print it out and frame it because it is a wonderful work of art and we are so proud of you!

We are also blessed by what the Lord is teaching you (and us) about jealousy! It is easy to feel that way sometimes. We tend to always think others have it better....but we are finding out that just like Paul, we know how to be content in want and in plenty. And remember, famous people are sometimes very sad people. They don't always give Glory to the one who lifted them up. And I used to always think that only certain people could "acheive" some kinds of things, whether by beauty, fame or wealth. Just remember to always lift up the Lord Jesus and He will lift you up! He is the reason for any and all of who we are and what we do. The Bible says that I must decrease, so He may increase. That was John the Baptist talking, and He knew that he was just bringing people to Jesus.....and not bringing them to himself.

Well, I didn't mean to type a sermon, and I am sure that you are feeling much better after writing your post, as time has gone by. Just remember that you are extremely special and your family is a treasure!

We love you!
