Monday!

Guess what!  Today my mom, my sister and I went to Lincoln's New Salem to volunteer (we already went through training) and we got to dress up in 1830's period outfits and and we got to cook over the fire with cast iron pots! We made corn casserole!  I thought at first it wasn't going to taste good but it was really tasty!  It was so much fun!

We worked in the Tavern, that was like a hotel for 1830's people.  The girls would sleep three or four to a bed!  The boys would sleep in the loft on the floor!

My sister and I saw two baby lambs there! They were so cute! I love them so much! One even bleated!! You can really experience nature there!!

Anyway, I have gotten 4 purses done and I am working on another on for my mom. It is going to be chocolate brown with furry orange stuff at the top!! She said she would buy it from me!

I still would love to get comments from you so leave one!!

I've got to go now!!

              Until next time,

Forgiving and forgeting

Hey!

I am so sorry I haven't written in a while, I just have been so busy lately. I have been crocheting purses to make some money! One of my friends inspired me to do it! I tried to put some pictures of my cats on here but I am not quite sure how to do it. I have tried to over and over but the computer just will not do it!My dad might know how to do it though! I just have to ask him. Right now he is at work so I can't.

I can't wait until I finish my purses, they are so cute! My grandma showed me how to do it. She can do them soo fast! She is very good at crocheting!

Have you ever had that feeling where someone says sorry to you after doing something and they ask you to forgive them and you don't because you don't feel it in your heart to forgive them? I have that feeling sometimes when my sister does something and she says sorry. It's hard for me because I feel like I shouldn't forgive her, because she's just going to do it again some other time. But then again, I am the same way. I am not perfect, no one is. ( Jesus is of course ) Sometimes you just need a few minutes to get over your anger and then you will feel like forgiving! You just have to remember that Jesus died on the cross for us and for our sins so that we wouldn't have to and He forgives us every time we say sorry for somthing we do against Him.Not to mention He forgets it afterward! Being a christian is the best thing ever and I am glad I am one! Until next time!

My Duck stamp Picture and a little lesson on the Ruddy Duck!

Hello again!

I've got my duck stamp picture right here!

Do you like it? The duck in the picture is called the Ruddy Duck! Oxyura Jamaicensis.

Go here to see some great pics!

    www.bobsteelephoto.com/Species/rudu.html

He is the cutest little duck ever! (To me anyway!)

During mating season, he tries to impress the female by sticking up his stiff little tail and sticking up two little feathers on his head that look like horns, thus making a very funny fool of himself! Air gets trapped under his breast feathers so when he hits his breast with his bill, the air under the feathers comes out in a bunch of bubbles and he makes little noises and splashes the water around! I love the shade of blue his bill is! His bill, as well as his body turn a brown color in winter. He enchants me and I can't stop looking at him! Unfortunatly my little ruddy duck is in another zoo, in another county,in another state! Oh I miss him sooooo much! I thank God for creating him and I can't wait to draw (or paint) him next year!

I used Prismacolor colored pencils for this picture! They are oil-based and they come in every color you can think of!

Well... I hope you enjoy the Ruddy duck as much as I do and I hope you liked your (little lesson)!

      Until next time,
