For anyone who has been following the highly riveting tale of our Maytag dryer...IT'S FIXED!! It was touch and go there for a couple of hours, but finally the non-Maytag Repairman was able to perform a miracle. When the Maytag Repairman Substituted showed up for his third visit, I warned him that he was very close to becoming part of our family if he didn't work something out. Mark handed him the newest new part, and he went to work.

Two hours later, he was still hard at work behind a closed laundry room door. I knew it couldn't be good. Turns out the newest new part wasn't the answer either. Who knew? So, amidst all of our company, he disassembled the whole entire thing, pieces strewn all over the floor. Finally, he found and repaired the problem and put it back together. Luckily, he had no leftover pieces as often happens on any sit-com. So now we have a working dryer with two new parts we didn't need.

It's a wonderful thing being able to wash and dry our clothes all in the same place. Now if only I could find a machine that would fold and put away the laundry!
