Who I Am

I am a 23-year-old homeschool graduate and the oldest of four girls in my family. I am currently working part-time for a local Christian camp and preparing in various ways for a future in full-time ministry! I enjoy writing, photography, being in my church's dance team and choir, and hanging out with family and friends. About my blog title -- if you're wondering why "UNDER the Rainbow" -- the rainbow represents God's promises, so I'm living under God's promises and His faithfulness!

What I Love

My Father and Savior, my family, the Bible, my church, writing, being silly and random with my sister Briana, blowing bubbles with my sister Marissa, my sister Daniella's cuddly hugs, playing games with my family, laughing so hard I can't breathe, dancing, Thursday night small group, hanging out with my friends, having serious discussions about life and spiritual stuff, really worshipping God - when I close my eyes and everything else disappears and it's just me and Him, watching someone play the guitar, getting and giving hugs, that feeling you get when you've done something good and no one knows but you and God, catching fireflies, dreaming about the future, taking pictures, understanding new truths from God's Word, when I hit a perfect triple turn in dance, llamas, looking at the stars, going for walks - rain or shine, Guatemala - the country and the people, flamingos, my dog Kacie, reading a good book, my sponsored children, journaling, chocolate, singing in my car while driving...just being alive!

Easter musical pictures

Finally, here are the pictures and videos I promised from our church's Easter Musical.  It went really well -- especially the Sunday morning (Palm Sunday) presentation, was really blessed and anointed by the Lord.  We prayed over it a lot, and I am thankful that the singing and dancing and speaking was blessed, and also the message our music minister spoke to the church afterwards.  Our church is going through a REALLY tough time right now, and he pretty much challenged the church to "get real."

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the dance team dancing to "Celebrate Jesus."

The choir sang about 10 songs and we actually did 2 dances (I don't have pics of the other one though).  Some of the little girls (ages 4-11) danced with us this time; that was the first time they have participated with the dance team and the LOVED it!!  They were so cute.  :-)
These two songs we did this time are a lot more "dance" than the interpretive movement we usually do.  I like both... of course, I've been a dancer all my life so I enjoy dancing, but to me the interpretive movement is more meaningful and worshipful.  Anyway... on to the videos.  :-)

Here is the video of "Blessed be the Name of Life"  (don't forget, you'll need to go down to the bottom and pause my music player before watching the videos)

And here's "Celebrate Jesus / Wake Up World"

Hopefully those will work... I pulled them off Facebook instead of YouTube or Photobucket like I usually do, so we'll see!  If they don't work, let me know and I'll try to fix it.  :-)

I hope you all have a great weekend celebrating the resurrection of Jesus!!  He's alive and I'm forgiven, heaven's gates are open wide!  What an awesome gift He has given us!
Love, Ashley

Very pretty! I bet it was fun to swirl about in your dresses.

The last group of Sasha Dolls was apparently from 1995-2001. There were also other productions before that, but yes, it is more of a doll from our parent's time.

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

So pretty! Although I've never really danced much myself I love to watch others do it.

That pictures was actually taken somewhere in OR I think.
