My dear friend, Amy, at Simple Folk, has so graciously blessed me with The Reflection Award The reason for The Blogger Reflection Award is to reflect on five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and have been a Godly example to you. Five Bloggers who when you reflect on them you get a sense of pride and joy... of knowing them and being blessed by them. I feel so humbled to have Amy think of me out of all the incredible company that she keeps -- and I am tempted to just return the favor 5 times back to her as she is for certain, whom I would award if it hadn’t been that she awarded me first. To be sure, (and perhaps a little-known fact), I am a deep thinker despite my kidding around -- passionately strong in my beliefs about homeschooling and God’s Word, but have not often put those thoughts on this blog, perhaps to avoid unkind controversy as my shoulders are not very broad. I do pray though that at least some of what I do here ministers to some, blesses some, and is useful to the Glory of God. May His Name be Glorified! I do have some reservations in passing on such an award - as listing only five means many deserving friends will be left out. So many have been a blessing to me, picking only five is nearly impossible, but here is my feeble try… Here are five - In Alphabetical Order... Canada Girl - Mary is such a source of love and encouragement to myself and I know to many of you. Raising 4 strapping young men in the secluded Canadian Mountains is no simple task. I know you strive to reflect God's love in all that you do and you do it so well. Especially in the giving of your artistic talent to others. You are truly my SSiC! Diamonds in the Rough - Sally, my friend, is such a blessing. Having girls the same age (although she has 2 more than I) and being so like-minded, we really need to be neighbors. I admire your ability to voice your Biblical convictions and your sacrificial service and ministry to your family and to the spiritual wilderness where you serve. Our written conversations are such a blessing to me. Heart of Wisdom - Robin Sampson and her writings are such a Godsend. Raising her own 11 children is a feat in itself, but to also write 3 excellent books and several unit studies, encouraging countless others, providing curriculum, and still teaching her youngest children and enjoying her many grandchildren....God must have blessed you with extraordinary energy. Thanks to you, Robin, I really feel on-track in giving our daughters a Biblical education and have a teaching approach that I can recommend without reservation. You are a blessing to many – You are a blessing to me! My prayers are with you for a complete and speedy recovery from your recent open heart surgery. Jenn4Him - Jenn, you are such a sweetie! You make everyone feel comfortable from the first time they meet you. I love how you are so transparent - we have shared in your life from the first time we met you and you make everyone feel like we are a part of your family. And when you are away, our little blog world just isn't the same. Seeking the Old Paths - Julie is truly an inspiration to me. With a family of 7 children, sharing her journey while their family is preparing to possibly leave the comforts and familiarity of home as they willingly follow God's leading - possibly to minister in Isreal. Julie truly is a doer of the Word, and I love that so much in her. Thank you Julie for your example. Passing it on (if you wish)... This award is for the best-of-the-best so consider who you pick, carefully. This award should not be given to just anyone. If you're going to do the award don't just write a few words and slap it on your blog. Write real thoughts about these bloggers and what they've been to you, and if the bloggers you pick have already been given the award, don't be afraid to give to them again. They deserve it as many times as it's given. Rules of participating: -

Special apology to my friend Jenn, who's name/link I can seemingly do nothing. |
