My dear friend, Kaysmarmey, is so kind to award me with the "You Make Me Smile" Award. THANK YOU!!! She makes me smile all the time and often laugh out loud about things she writes about. I feel like I have known her for years and that we are old friends. I love reading about her life in North Pole, Alaska.
This is what the person that created this award says about it:
"The thing that I love most about blogging is that I learn so much about a person just by reading their blog. I have met MANY wonderful people with wonderful stories to tell, and I am grateful every day for each person that I have the pleasure of crossing paths in life with.
I wanted to create something special for the top ten people who have inspired me through their blogging; the stories they tell, and the lives that they lead with grace and dignity. I visit their blogs for inspiration and encouragement. Although there are MANY people I want to give this award to at this very moment, I am going to choose ten bloggers." (Sorry to say, I was unable to track down who the creator of this award is, but thank you).
I'd like to pass this award on to soooo many of you. Many of you already have this, but lets see if I can find a few more....
First I'd like to award my youngest daughter, Ladybug, since she ALWAYS makes me smile! She was blessed with my daddy's humor and keeps our family in stiches. She is such a blessing!!!
And I'd like to equally award my oldest daughter, Bookworm, as she is such a joy and blessing to me! She reminds me so much of me growing up and makes motherhood easy and fun.
I could go on and on about our daughters, but that would be bragging I guess. I also want to award some other friends, that aren't related to me, but I wish they were...
My dear friend Sally at DiamondsintheRough always makes me smile. Whether it's a smile because we are soooo likeminded, or because of her great humor, I rarely miss checking her blog daily and "tear open" her emails as soon as they come. It has been so fun getting to know her and our daughters have become such great friends.
My special friend, Amy, at Simple Folk is a rare gem indeed. Such a hard worker with raising four young men, homesteading, homeschooling, writing, making creative fancywork, and sharing beautiful memories of family history in written word and beautiful photography. Her blogs are a real treat for the eyes and I cherish her friendship greatly.
I'd also like to award ThreeLittleLadies. Although Carol's work is not always easy with being a helpmeet, mama, and also work on a mission field, I appreciate her openess and she always gives a smile with her wonderful sense of humor.
My dear friend Antoinette at Halflingerhorses makes me smile every time I read her blogs. She lives the life that I can only dream of, yet makes me feel like we could be neighbors. She is a wonderful friend and "neighbor." I love to read her blog!
And oh how I enjoy visiting with Donna at Always Learning. When I read her blog, she always has very creative ideas and funny situations to share. Her visits always make me smile/laugh.
There are more of you I need to award, but if I don't get this posted soon, you all will have the award before I get to you.
I just want to mention though my three constant friends, Mary, Jenn, and Sharity! You are a constant source of friendship and smiles to me and I know to so many more. I know you already have this award, but I just wanted to mention how thankful I am for your friendship!!! |
