For Today ~ Monday, June 16, 2008
Outside My Window...is a mostly cloudy sky - hey, I though it was suppose to be nice all week - maybe reaching the low 70's today, but gradually warming to the upper 80's by the end of the week (at least that is what is forecast so far). I can see the prairie grasses swaying in the breeze and a large clump of weeds pressed down on our septic mound where the deer bed down at night.
I am thinking...of all the things I want to do today - including catching up on visits with bloggy friends.
I am thankful for...my wonderful husband and what a super daddy he is to our girls. He always makes time for them and is such a faithful provider ~ I am truly blessed! I am also thankful for my thoughtful father-in-law and of course, for my beloved daddy (I miss you so much). But most of all I am thankful for our Heavenly Father!
From the kitchen...
Monday ~ Leftovers (fridge is full)
Tuesday ~ Steak
Wednesday ~ Spaghetti
Thursday ~ Chow Mein Hotdish
Friday ~ Pizza
Saturday ~ Chicken Fried Rice
Sunday ~ Tacos
I am creating...well, this week I hope to be very creative, trying to get caught up on the girls' "school days" scrapbooks.
I am going...to be home most of this week, with the exception of shuttling the girls to where they need to be.
I am wearing...denim capris, lime green knit top (not sure if I look good in lime green), & sports socks. Hair in ponytale.
I am reading...Joshua and the Book of John; the latest issue of The Girlhood Home Companion; & perusing through some recent Amazon purchases...Tasha Tudor's Garden, The Tasha Tudor Cookbook, Cottage Gardens by Sunset, a couple music books (Beloved Hymns by Phillip Keveren & Immortal Hymns by Phillip Keveren) and a couple of library books...The Country Garden, and Planting Design.
I am hoping...I use my time wisely this week and get much accomplished.
I am hearing...the garbage man at the end of the driveway.
Around the house...it's relatively clean - now just to keep it that way.
One of my favorite things...is baby animals. Life just slows down for them and everything they do is cute. We are so enjoying our baby chick right now, hoping more will hatch this Friday.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... I have the house pretty much to myself during the day thru Thursday so I hope to do a lot of gardening, scrapbooking, and planning our school schedule for next year. And oh yes, practicing piano -- the girls & I are going through some lesson books (self-taught) and I finally get the piano all to myself. :)
Here is a picture thought I am sharing for you...
