My new blog

You know that I write stories, right? Well, I've decided to type some of them on my blog.  But, since this blog posts most recently at the top, that would have been confusing for people who have visited it before.  Since I like to type my stories and  my life, it would have looked something like this:

CHPTR 2: But she found it under a bush, and they lived happily ever after.

HOPPING BRO: Today I saw my brother jump rope.  Can you believe it?

CHPTR 1: Once upon a time a girl, named Nancy, got a cat.  But it ran away.

(So on and so forth.)

So my mom came up with this ingenius plan, (mwah ha ha ha ha!)  to  make me a new blog called 'PlanetBethStories'. It's where I post my stories (hence the clever name).  So please visit  and enjoy reading them.

Quest for the Sword of Gentsudia

Quest for the Sword of Gentsudia

CHAPTER ONE

"Benjamin!" called a feminine voice, "Just because it's summer doesn't mean you can just lay in bed all day!”

Up the stairs, down a hallway, past two doors, around a “Beware!” sign, and under the covers of a bed lay a boy (who was also known as Ben) waking up to the ten o' clock morning sunshine.  "Oh, no!" yelled Ben.  "Baseball starts in just thirty minutes!”  Ben got out from under his covers, ran down the stairs, and just as he was headed toward the door his mom yelled,

"Wait!  You forgot to..." she began.

"Can’t!  Late!  Bye!" Ben called back.

Ben's house was only ten minutes away from the ballpark, but to him it seemed longer than that, and he was in a hurry.  He did not want to be late for baseball.  Ben was so worried he'd be late that when he got to the park gate he realized something was very wrong.

"I can’t believe it!" he exclaimed.  “I’m still in my pajamas!"  Ben ran back home.

As he was running up the stairs his mom asked him, "Forget something?"

"Can’t!  Still late!" Ben yelled down the stairs.  Ready for baseball in his normal everyday clothes, Ben dashed out of the house knowing he didn't have a moment to lose.

"Ben!  You forgot your cap!" yelled his mom.

"Late!" he shouted back to her.

Just as he was entering the park it started to rain.  "Aaaarrg!" he exclaimed.  Quite frustrated, Ben began his journey back home.

He was only a few minutes from entering his door when a sphere of light whizzed by his head.  Ben watched it as it entered the woods.  Filled with curiosity, he hurried after it.

It was very difficult for Ben to follow the light, jumping over hedges and avoiding branches.  He was just about to give up the chase when the light disappeared behind a tree.  When he got to the spot, he saw a lady with her dog, who was barking at the ground.  “Sit!  Stay!" the lady commanded her dog.  She looked at Ben.  "Dogs," she began to tell him, "Always barking at nothing.“  She walked away, tugging at her dog’s leash.

Ben just stared in disbelief.  "Nothing?” Ben asked himself.  “Then what did I see?"  Ben stared at the ground.  "I wonder…"

He began to dig in the same spot the dog was barking at.  It only took a few minutes until another flash of light came and dove into the same spot where Ben was digging.  He dug faster.   Another flash of light vanished as it hit the ground.  Another one came and did the same.  Ben had dug about a foot in the ground when three more flashes of light plummeted into the hole.  Ben kept digging.

     Then, without warning, he disappeared.

Butterflies

So my aunt Sissy (Amanda) is getting married and she wants Alex to be the ring bearer,Kari to be the flower girl, and I get to be the candle lighter, and she wants us (as a family) to raise butterflies too. So far they have only taken three weeks to form into butterflies, most of them have already come out of the chrysalids and all of them are Painted Lady Butterflies.  They look like Monarchs but not quite.  We started with 10 caterpillars and by the third generation we should have at least 100 caterpillars but unfortunately 1 caterpillar didn't make it,1 butterfly didn't pump enough blood into it's wings in time, resulting in the fact that it will never fly, but some other butterflies had the same problem but not as bad.  Wish us luck!!

Pictures to come!

Hello Readers!

So today is Friday and here I am remembering (while eating a cookie, YUMM! )

about my first entry called "My First Entry"    ( If you haven't already, DON'T READ THIS ENTRY  UNTIL YOU HAVE!!!!!!  Then it's OK.)   I realized that I haven't been drawing any pictures lately (sorry.)  I'd better get to work on it then.

So while I was typing I found something realy COOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!! YOU CAN MAKE PICTURES LIKE THEESE; ☺☻♥♦♣♠•◘○◙♂♀♪☼►◄↕‼¶§▬↨↑↓→←∟↔▲▼ Cool huh?  I like them.  How about YOU?  All I did is held down the ALT button, (while holding down a number on the number pad.)          And PRESTO!!!  There you have it!!  One of the shapes above↑.

So I guess you want to see Pom Pom by now,(am I right?)  So I think I'll  go fix it now (or soon.)

I'll blog later!

~Beth

Busy Day, Part One

Today I couldn't post a picture of my Pom Pom.  One, because I neglected taking a picture.  Two, well... it's just too late.  Three, I had to do fuzzy surgery.  That's right.  Not only am I a chef, I'm also a yarn surgeon.    See?  That's me fixing stuff.  (How does your head work?  Let's hit it and find out.)

I played with Pom Pom so much that his middle string broke, the one that was holding him together.  So, I've got to fix  him.  While I did fix his strings, I still have to work on his eyes and feet.

So, maybe I'll take a picture of him tomorrow... as soon as I find the camera... oh!  (sound of mom sliding camera out in front of me)... there it is!  "Good job, Mom."

Today was busy.  We homeschooled, the truck broke down, Grandma came by, Mrs. Regina came by (and BTW, she's 4 months pregnant!), Dad fixed the truck, and we watched some of the Olympics.  I haven't really looked for the history book yet.  Shame on me.  Oh, and I'm sick, too.    Isn't that just wonderful.

Well, I'm kinda tired.  I gotta take my shower, too.  So, I'll blog again tomorrow (maybe).

Your fuzzy surgeon,

~Beth

Learning the Hard Way!

Dear readers,

Mom's been letting me cook lately.  Today I made biscuits for lunch and made the rice for dinner.  A couple weeks ago, Mom had me make a spaghetti dinner by myself while she was shopping, including salad.  Of course, I had never made spaghetti before all by myself.  Even WITH Mom's help.  But in the end, I succeeded.  Dinner was great.  (I'm getting pretty good at mac an' cheese, too.)  I'm turning into a chef!

What things can YOU make (around 12 years of age)?

Tonight, after b-ball practice, Dad took me to his friend's house ("Uncle" Paul).  I had fun there.  They have two cats.  One named Solo (boy), the other one... I forget.  But it was a girl tabby cat.  She had soft fur.  And you could hold her like a baby!  Anyone who knows me knows that I loooooove cats!  (But not enough to marry them... heh heh.)

On my spelling test, I passed with flying colors!  I didn't miss a single one!  And anyone who knows me knows that I usually miss at least one.

Mom taught me how to make a pom pom yarn ball creature thing.  She calls it a "Warm Fuzzy."  It is soooooo cute!  I'll post a picture tomorrow.... and directions on how to make it.  Make sure to come back and see it.  I named it Pom Pom.  Nice name, isn't it?

I still haven't found that history book yet.    I will confess: I didn't read it the first two weeks.    Oh, well.  I'll just tell my GMA teacher the truth.  Yes, I'm bad, and I'm not all perfect.  Even though I have a shirt that says so.  Heh heh.

Anyway, it's getting late.  So I might as well blog off... er... I mean log off.

Your not-so-perfect,

~Beth

Why I Wasn't On My Blog

Hello!  Sorry it's been over a week since I blogged.  I'll admit it wasn't to exciting.(But if exciting was every day, it wouldn't be exciting would it?)

This week (on Saturday afternoon) my team won!  And the best player on the other team bearly got any baskets!!  (And when she shoots she almost always gets a basket.)

All of us got the blue star (effort), and another girl and I got an extra gray star(offense).  It was a good game (of course, I thought so... my team won!).

And when I got home my Mom was making a cake (not because my team won) but becuase Mom needed to use the strawberries that where in the fridge.  (BEFORE they got all moldy.)

On Sunday night, we watched Karate Kid.  I liked that last move he made at the end of the movie.(HOIYAH!!)

Today was relaxed, untill after dinner.  That's when I was making Valentine cards for my team. I was succesful in handing out most of the cards, but one girl was sick today. (I'll have to give the card to a Friend I'm seeing this week.)

Speeking of which, have you ever had an assignment that you had to read a mini HISTORY  book?  And this is no ordinary history book.  It's writen by a Missionary.(and it took me about 5 minutes or so to read THREE pages!)  AND I LOST IT!!!!!!!

(I'M RUINED!!!  )

So here I am typing away (Mom playing Nintendo in backround,) and I'm yawning, (Ding Dong! Ding Dong! Time For Bed!  )

Lots of sleep I mean sheep I mean um.... good night!

~ Beth

The Un-Super Bowl Sunday

Today I woke up late.  I hopped out of bed, came into the front room, and saw donuts on the table(Yum!)  I ate some, and pretty much just sat and played my GameBoy.  I started to get bored and started to ask Mom how far I could walk with the walkie talkie, then Dad said maybe we could go to the movies(I guess the Super Bowl was too boring.)  "Alright!" I thought (Hey, at least it got us out of the house!)  But Mom thought we might go to Chuck 'E' Cheese (Even Better!)  So we went, orderd pizza, and played some games.  Dad and I raced each other a two player race car game.  Dad:2 Me:1(but I creamed him at shooting hoops!)  At the end of the day, Dad wanted me to try to beat Mom at hoops.  SHE CREAMED ME TWO TIMES! I SAY TWOOOOOOO!! AND AFTER SHE SAID "I'm not too good." YEAH RIGHT!!! (AUGH!!!!)  But it was fun.  I had a good time, and I came home with a squishy, spikey, purple yo-yo ball.  As I come to an end, I think I'll ask Mom if I can play my Game Boy for a while (or read a book.) in bed.  ("Um... No.  Have you checked the time, Darling Daughter?" -Mom interjects.)

Many adventures!

~Beth

Bunnies, Basketball, and My Little Sister.

Mom's teaching me to tweak my side bar.

Today, I visited PrincessLeia12's site.  She has virtual pets on her blog.  I thought that they were SOOOOOOOOO CUTE!  (very very verrrry cute!)

So I put a virtual pet on my blog, too.  And I did it all by myself! (sort of)  So, say hi to my funny, bunny, Sunny!  (hee hee!)

On another note, today in basketball, I (me) made half our team's goals!  (That's pretty impressive if I do say so myself.)Granted, we still lost, BUT IT WAS MY PERSONAL BEST!!!

So today I got a gray star for my uniform.  (gray is for offense.)

So that's everything, oh and I almost forgot!  My little sister's friend Katie came over today.  HOORAY FOR KARI!!!

I'm the 6th grade homeschooling daughter of Momwtrmn.  I plan to post lots of drawings, but Mom wants me to post lots of writings.  Maybe we can both have our way.  (This is mom's typing , I had nothing to say about it!)  (Mom says, "Lies, lies.  It's all lies.  Don't believe a word she's not typing!")  (WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!?)

Ok... we've been taking turns typing... and having lots of fun doing so.  Without further ado, welcome.  And enjoy.
