Our First Spring Robin

Yes, I know this is not the first robin seen in the area this spring.  We even saw one on the embankment along I-90/94 a week or so ago.

But this is our first robin for the spring, ours in our own back yard.

Isn't he just so cute and fat and fluffy?  I think he, too, was expecting the much ballyhooed 2-3 inches of snow that never came yesterday.

Watching this animated little guy in our yard reminded me how aptly our Robin boy is named.

This was taken from our back window, through our binoculars:  one rubber eye cup fits quite nicely over the extended lens on our camera.  This method does a tolerable job of boosting our photo range, but it's a little unwieldy.

from Matthew 6:

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
