Smile! You're on Covert Camera!
Sometimes to catch your kids doing something, you have to spy on them.
Today when I caught Elliot reading a book to Robin, I knew I needed a picture of it, but I suspected that if I couldn't document it secretly, then I wouldn't catch them with their defenses down.
This is when the self-timer function on a digital camera is really handy: set the timer, press the shutter button, and using the image display as a guide, quickly but calmly plant the camera in a covert location. The camera does the rest.
