Tell Yer Aunt About This?

These Last Days to Come.  July, 2006.

Sometimes I get really sick of living in the city.

I mean, where else can we:

  • set aside 8 whole days...
  • invite thousands more such visitors from around the world...
  • spread out in six key locations across the city...
  • use public funds...
  • promote cultural events appealing to children...

...to proudly flaunt our sin?

We've gotta find somewhere else to be, because it certainly won't be at Lincoln Park Zoo or the beach or any of the museums:  frankly, I don't trust these revellers to keep it clean.

Would you?

from Proverbs 9:

       6 Forsake foolishness and live,
      And go in the way of understanding.
       7 "He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,
      And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.
       8 Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you;
      Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.
       9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
      Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
       10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
      And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
       11 For by me your days will be multiplied,
      And years of life will be added to you.
       12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,
      And if you scoff, you will bear it alone."

I just don't get it! Do homosexuals need seperate games? Are they unable to participate in the regular games? So, like a special olympics...boggles the mind. God forgive us and God protect us.

sounds like a good time to take a vacation.

I knew people who lived in New Orleans many years ago. They always planned their vacation (their kids were grown) around Marti Gras so they could get out of town.

It is very sad that it happens and I would definitely NOT trust them.

I feel your pain...

We lived in San Francisco for three years and it was like living in the middle of Sodom and Gomorrah. I would exit the apt only to be faced with huge posters for the Exotic Erotic Ball. Yuck. And when Clinton was elected for a second term, the joy and levity was palpable.
