Contest info and assorted ramblings
First off, I would like to alleviate any fears some of you may have had concerning me becoming a psycho killer emo punk, or something like that. I got my hair cut last Friday. :D
Now, continuing onward, time for some contest info. Tomorrow is November 1st, as I'm sure most (if not all) of you know already. That will be the kickoff date for entering your fall poem. A tentative ending date is the last day of November, but if entries are slow in coming I may move it forward a bit.
But until then, get on with the writing! Remember to put your poem up on your blog and link to it in a comment on this post (not the previous one). And when you put up your poem on your blog, include a link to this post so others can find out about the contest.
The winner, picked by yours truly, will receive a very cool button made by our own Eric Novak that you will be able to put on your blog.

Now, time for the trivial news. Last Saturday the Burgraffs (I really hope I spelled that right), had an open house for the new home they built on their land. It was a pretty fun time. We played an awful lot of Ultimate frisbee, which as you all know is just fine with me! And I got to watch Tyler chase Sam, which was funny. I must say, they're both awfully fast. :P
At one point, Paul and I "borrowed" Tyler and Tanner's bikes and went off to find JM, Jaime, Tanner, and Levi, who we had been told had headed off for one of the caves. So off we went, only to discover a while later that they were actually in the house the whole time. Well, it was fun, anyway. :P
Right before we left, Paul, Jaime, and I decided to head into the cave. Unfortunately Jaime had to leave before we got in, but Paul and I went all the way through. Unfortunately Paul decided to vandalize the cave and started breaking off stalactites right and left.
Okay, that's not true. He actually just broke off one while trying to pull himself off the ground. :D
Anyway, it was a fun and tiring day. |
