Two items

Well, two things of interest have happened to me since last post.

First, I finished what is possibly the greatest work of fiction ever. That would be The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. It's very long and very good. I can't really describe how incredible it is without giving away some of the story, so just read it for yourself! :P

Second, I went to a double birthday party yesterday. It was at the Gonzalezes house and we were celebrating both Jaime's and John Mark's birthdays. After some initial drama and not knowing whether or not the party would happen after all, it turned out to be quite a fun time. We spent a great deal of time "wrestling". That is, arm wrestling and, my new favorite, leg wrestling. Mr. Burggraf introduced the latter and I think I wrestled everyone but Paul. I won a few and lost a few, but losing is pretty fun also!

Hopefully I'll have some picture soon (I promised Tanner to get a pic of him beating me arm wrestling :P).

Next event, Paul's birthday! I'm definitely looking forward to the LAN party, and trying to think of good games to play. Also, I hear tell that some Dixons and Eric may be there. That would be totally cool. :)

Anyway, that's it for now.

I'm with you on The Count of Monte Cristo--it's one of those books you puzzle over long after you've finished with it. I still haven't figured it all out, and it's been more than a year! High time for a re-read.

Ah, so you finished it! (The Count of Monte Cristo) Gosh, it's gonna take me a while. I finally got it from the library...it's huge. But that's OK...it just gives me an excuse to read longer ;) I have never heard of leg wresling. Sounds a little...hard.

Glad you all had fun! Wrestling aint' my thing, though.
Yeah we get to see them, but not as much as we would like. But that will change as soon as we all move out West! :)
Anyway, see you on Friday!
Have a great day!!

Very good point. Still, I would venture to suggest that the elect are those who endure to the end...which boils down to the question, does saved=elect?

Hm. So are you saying that salvation is never a past-tense experience? To me, it seems to be both past, present, and future--whereas the Calvinistic mindset zones in on the "past" and so forth :-). Our salvation begins, so to speak, at the time we accept Christ into our heart, and is made complete at the day of judgment--definitely not a once and for all experience ;-).

Anywho, I very much appreciate your comment and opinions! Thanks for sharing.

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for your comment. About the "insanity" thingamajiggerbobber, I sent it to my dad (who is very sarcastic humored, or whatever) and I was shocked to hear that he actually laughed when we spoke on the phone. Funny...
Yeah, I started "The Count of Monte Cristo" last night, and the thing I like so much about it (and all the classics) is the dialogue and detail. My sister and I were listening to the Silmarilion the other night, and it was funny to me that she was complaining about all the details and such. Ah, well. I guess not everyone has my fine taste ;) Ha ha!

I am glad you enjoyed the Count of Monte Cristo. I tried to read it once, but never finished it. I think that was several years ago and I wasn't too avid about reading.

I am glad you guys had such a good time at the G's for the birthdays. Sounds like a lot of fun.

I hope you all have a fantastic time at Paulie's party, and that is all I will say.
