-Job 1:21-

And he said:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord."

We lost our sweet baby this afternoon.  Really, to tell of God's grace has been a joy and delight to my soul.  I was feeling fine all morning, attended a knitting class with my friend while all the children were being well cared for, then began to feel less than ok during the class.  Lisa drove me home and within seconds the baby came.  Rather painlessly.

Above and in it all, God is Sovereign.  I have never miscarried before and now He has given me a profound sensitivity for other moms who have gone this path before.  Isn't He just so good to equip us that way?

Ladies, thanks for your prayers.  I don't even know most of you, but believe me, I felt those prayers.

Kendra,

Thank you for sharing your experiences and for demonstrating absolute trust in our Lord's will. You are an example to me--I often struggle with trying to understand God's designs and purposes.
You and your whole family are in our prayers. Josh and I are both praying for you. We pray that God will comfort you so that in turn you can comfort others. And, that where He has taken, He will give many more.
With love, Rebecca

Bearing all things - Mar. 31, 2006

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say rejoice. Let your forebearing spirit be known to all men: the Lord is near.

You have graciously shown that the Lord is near by bearing all your circumstances. You well know that we are lifting your family in prayer. ~Heather Davis for the Davis family

Kendra,

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.

The Lord is soverign over all things. We know that this baby was not created for this Earth. Though saddened I know that ALL things work for good for those who love God.

I love your family dearly and will be praying for all of you.

Love,
Yvette

I too have a precious baby in heaven. I was 7 weeks along, and had a very painful 7 hour labor - most of it in the bathtub. I knew when it was time to cup my hands and catch my baby, even though he was way too small to feel. I believe that God was telling me.

I caught my very small baby, and got to hold him, and hubby and I had a private funeral for him.

That was in 1998, my first pregnancy. That baby is in heaven, and has recently met my dad, who died last July.

I will never forget that baby, but I take comfort in the fact that I will meet him one day.

Kendra:

I have always said that I lost my little girl (for a little while) because God wanted to spare her this life for a better one. Like you, I was able to be largely accepting of it. If the tears come, however, know I'll be praying for you for comfort and for another sweet child to ease the ache.

*many hugs*

I'm sorry - Apr. 2, 2006

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My first miscarriage was very hard. Most people seem to feel I had enough already,( I had three with the first and six with the second), and were very unsympathetic. I deeply feel your loss and can relate to the goodness and greatness of God's love during these times. I will continue to pray for His presence as you continue to hear emotionally.

Having experienced this before, I grieve with you over the loss of your little one. There is such peace resting in the Lord. I pray you have found that peace and that it continues with you.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18

My thoughts are with you.
My understanding is fresh.
May God hold your heart in His hands as it begins to heal.
Let the tears flow, and let them be healing waters.
God is good. He provides all we need.
