Write it Down • Oct. 13, 2006

Lisa saw this in my kitchen and said, "You should blog about that!"  It isn't anything revolutionary, for certain, but it is another example of something that brings us peace.

I found this board last week at Wal Mart on the clearance aisle.  Five bucks.  I like that it's a clear board- something a little different than a white board.  Makes our dirt colored paint (Kelly Moore Fig Cookie) the background.

I know I've blogged before about how I need things written down because I don't think well on my feet, and this is just an example of that reality.  Wednesdays are our lessons day- piano and guitar, plus we babysit Lisa's nappers in the afternoon and we try to do some history or art projects together.  So because the daily schedule deviates on Wednesdays, I was finding it necessary to write it out so everyone knows what to expect.  Yes, you still have to get some work done even if we are gone in the morning

Yep! - Oct. 13, 2006

I saw some boards like that at Target on clearance and have regretted not picking them up, it was just a week or two ago, so maybe they'll be there tonight when I get a little shopping done...
I agree, I need lists, my kids need lists, and they need to be on display so they are not 'out of sight, out of mind'!
I have some friends and family that think I'm so terribly organized because of all my lists and charts, but they don't understand it is my lack of any natural organization ability that makes it necessary for me to be the chart and list queen of the neighborhood!

Keep up the great work,
ali

I love this!!! I have a board on my kitchen wall that is currently unused. It used to have my to do list, but once I joined motivated moms, I abandoned the board. Just might clean it off today : ) Thanks for the idea. HAPPY FRIDAY!

Remember Vis-a-Vis? - Oct. 13, 2006

Shared by Pomaleedon
Remember overhead transparencies? Well, now that dry erase boards have taken over the market with dry erase markers, the good ol' Vis-a-Vis markers are now called "Wet Erase"! How funny is that!

Your frame is very classy. All I've got to compare it to are the "Wet Erase" marker memos on refrigerator! In fact, the biggest one is a quote from one of your entries: The point of making lists is to give you something to fall back on.

You're definitely leaving your mark on homeschools across the country! (Heh, heh...)

Do you happen to remember the brand? My Wal-Mart doesn't have anything like that but it is really neat.

I have that same board in the kitchen. I write little notes to remember and My oldest writes me notes on it too. Then my husband writes what he needs from the store. Sometimes I write a bible verse on it. It is multipurpose!

Lists are the saving grace of the homeschooling mom (or any mom, for that matter). Saves us from "mommy brain"!

I love that clear message board. Very classy and a much nicer look than the normal white boards that are the staples of our households. And on sale?? Cool!
