Speaking of laundry and socks, do you know about these Sock Cops? Clip them on to a pair of socks about ready to enter the washer and they stay together throughout the entire washing/drying process. Fabulous!
I LOVE this idea but am worried about them slipping off the socks occasionally and getting stuck in the boot seal at the front or worse, having them make their way into the pump. Anyone use these with a Whirlpool duet? Thanks for this link, Kendra!
I've always thought things like that were so excessive... just another expense... but the more I think about it, the more practical many little helps like that seem... well, the more my family grows, anyway...
Hope all is going well with your pregnancy, and your knitting!
Enjoy them,
ali
I've used regular wooden clothespins to do this, too. They stay on through the washing and drying, and I've never had a problem with them. I have a top-loading old machine, so not sure how they would work with front-loaders, but this is another option!
And about finding them BEFORE they hit the hamper . . . AMEN! If only they would make Sock Cops that would arrest the littles who deposit socks wherever their fancy dictates . . . socks are sort of a disposable thing around this house :(
They are a great idea, but I think a laundry (delicates) bag is a better one. I could just imagine how many of those little clips I would need for my family! :+)
My poor husband was just bemoaning some favorite socks that had gone lost. I think that Sock Cop will become a stocking stuffer for my sock loving man -- a good laugh AND a good solution to the sock problem. Thanks, Kendra.
I always thought a safety pin would be a good idea for socks, but by the time I gather socks from all over the house I do good to just get them into the wash

I am teaching my 9yo who is pretty good about using them. My 8yo boy is still a struggle. I have the Whirlpool Duet and they work fine. I have had an entire sock go into the front rubber boot but not the Sockcop.
