I have blogged on the use of a clipboard before. It is really an invaluable tool in my home- my mobile brain on paper. Here's what's currently on the clipboard:
Love the Ten Ways to Test Obedience - Aug. 31, 2007
Shared by Jodi-FL
unfortunately, I think I need to use them on myself lately as I'm struggling to learn contentment in present circumstances (beyond my control, but not His)...
I'll post our fall schedule soon. I'm having trouble getting onto my site since I changed computers, but I'll post it there, too.
Jodi- you and me, both. I was both dismayed and delighted to be confronted by the obedience test because I know I'm not hitting a passing grade! It's been fodder for great conversation with the older ones because they're beginning to realize that there is no time in life when we don't have to obey someone, and always God.
Oooops, forgot to answer your question about MM. Yes, we try to hit the chores on the list each day. There are usually only a few we don't already have designated on someone's chore list, so the preschooler and I typically tackle those together while everyone else is doing their chores.
I cannot begin to express to you how excited I am to have found your website and blog. Though I do have to struggle very hard not to spend countless hours gleaning from all of the fabulous information you have posted, I am so very grateful and blessed by many of the resources that you so generously share! I'm going to print some of those character lessons (like the one on obedience!!) for my husband to use for family devotions and I'm testing out the sample schedule of motivated moms, I love to check things off and this looks like it might be the right fit for me, will purchase if I can stick to for a week or two... I can't tell you how addicted I am to organizational books/systems, I've got a whole shelfful to prove it, but I like reading about organization much more than I like doing it!
Thanks so much for your willingness to share with us!
Thanks for posting this again. I'm fighting against being that organized, but I know it will help! I mentioned your clipboard idea to my husband tonight, and he really liked it. So, we'll see what I can do!

Hi Kenda :) Thanks for sharing this - there are some great resources listed here. I love the clip board idea and have modified it a little here into a notebook. With love in Christ, Quinne
