Sewing School Mini Kits for Beginners • Jan. 18, 2008

Posted in Resources
I've become a kit girl, motivated by the fact that I have limited time to browse craft, fabric, and yarn stores.

Oooh, I love these!  A very talented young homeschooler named Amanda has put together some really great little beginning sewing kits at a terrific price.  Check out Hearts and Trees to see the kits and make a purchase for your little seamstress.

Thanks for the heads up. Fabulous. I love the winter kit she has too.

Your Blog - Jan. 18, 2008

Hi. I have just found your blog and I am loving all the useful information. I am just starting out on our family. I have a 15 month and 1/2 old and am 15 weeks pregnant. I am still nursing her and boy is it tiring. I can't wait until we begin our homeschooling years. (I was homeschooled my last three years). I just wanted to thank you for you sharing so much wisdom and knowledge. It has been such a blessing from the Lord.

Thanks for this, Kendra! I'd been looking for something just like this.
I'm glad you're back.

You are very kind - Jan. 18, 2008

Thank you so much for your kind words about Amanda's art kits. She has worked hard to make a kit that many homeschooling moms are looking for. She was a homeschooled girl who loved to sew but with a mom who knew little more than the basics. I kept encouraging her as best I could and now she is passing on her knowledge with others. It warms my heart.

I love your blog and wish it had been around 12 years ago when I had a houseful and was new to homeschooling.

Thanks again,
Barb-Harmony Art Mom(Amanda's mom)

Hi! Could you tell me what ages do you think this kit is appropriate to?
Thank you.

I would say 7 and up. I think it would be too frustrating for my six-year-old, but I know my eight-year-old will tackle the kit nicely, and could have last year.
