You're standing in line at the grocery store and someone makes a comment about your pregnant belly/toddler/baby-in-the-cart that goes something like this:

"Just WAIT until he's/she's two!"

or

"Just WAIT until they're teenagers!"

or

"Girls, huh? Just be glad you don't have BOYS!"

or

"Boys, huh? Just be glad you don't have GIRLS!"

I always get a kick out of their reaction when I spill the beans. And as of today, it's official:

I have two teenagers, three grammar-schoolers, one preschooler, one baby, and another due in seven weeks. And you know what? They are all a lot of fun. Wouldn't trade any of them!

And my favorite response to "Boy, you sure have your hands full!" is.....

I've gotten all of those comments at one time or another. Plus I am very young looking for my age so when people see me out with my oldest teenage son and one of the little ones, they REALLY don't know what to think! LOL

Or how about: “You homeschool? Don’t you need a break from your kids?” I always say “No, I enjoy spending time with my kids. We have a lot of fun together.” Most people don’t know how to react to that one, except for the “socialization” questions that follow!!

I praise the Lord that I am able to live the kind of life that I do!

Oh yeah! I love seeing their jaws hit the floor when I'm out with baby/older child/pregnant belly and answer the 47th "You have your hands full!" with "Oh no--this is my break. I left the rest at home."
Or when I only have the baby with me and hear "Just wait till he gets bigger" and then I get to spill the beans like you. So much fun!

As the mom of 10, I especially love it when I only have 3 of my boys with me.

I get lots of, "Oh my! All boys, huh?" And, "Look at that. THREE BOYS!!"

I always have great fun saying, "Oh, I have girls too! And more boys!!"

I just love to see their eyes pop out of their heads!LOL!
