In January, our family went to Disney world. We stayed at Fort Wilderness Resort campground. It was so much fun!!
The first day we went to Magic Kingdom. We rode the boat over.
This is when we first walked in. We went to The Colonial Tavern for a character dinner.
The castle still had Christmas lights on it. It was really pretty. Then we saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Hollywood Studios was next.
After the show we saw Mike And Sully and the Incredibles.
We went to a Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian.

And then the last day of Magic Kingdom.

Disney has a great fireworks show!
We saw a LOT more characters but this is just a few. It was a great trip, and I can't wait to go again! I LOVE DISNEY WORLD!!!!!

We watched a stunt show called Lights, Motors, Action! It was sooooo cool. I would love to see it again!

I'm sooooo sorry I've not blogged in a long time. A lot has happened. I had my birthday, and I turned 11! For my birthday we got to pet horses including a foal. Then we went to play putt-putt. For my birthday I got a charm with my cats name on it for my charm bracelet, a Webkinz horse, groovy girl and some clothes for her, a purse with a Claire's gift card inside, an American Girl doll (Julie), clothes for my Build a Bear, and a note saying I could get my ears pierced! I took a basket weaving class and a painting class. I made 2 baskets, one was a CD holder, the other was just decorative! THEN, we went to the beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we had a condo on the beach. You could fall out the door and be in the water! Well....almost. While we were there, we rented a pontoon boat. I GOT TO DRIVE THE BOAT, TOO!!!!!! We rode in the bay and went to Shell Island. There were no buildings on the island. This is a sea slug! Say Hello sea slug!

My older sisters got to go parasailing. I hope I get to go sometime!

We've been really busy the last few weeks. We've been decorating for Christmas this week. Thanksgiving weekend my sister,Briana, was in the Nutcracker. We went to watch it 2 nights in a row. You can go to my mom's blog to see some pictures. I like the Nutcracker music. My sister was pretty. My dad, sisters, and I are going to be in a play at our church. Hi! We went to Colonial Williamsburg a couple of weeks ago! Yay! yay!
Isn't my sister cute? I LOVED IT!!!!!! We got to hear a drum and fife corp! Now that was neat! = ) We toured the Governor's Palace.
Inside there was the ORIGINAL organ, salt and pepper shakers, a writing desk!!!! THAT WAS COOL FOR ME!!!!!! We toured other craftsmen and buildings. We saw a weaver,a dress maker, silversmith, apothecary, brick maker, cobbler (he makes shoes), saddlemaker, milliner (makes hats), and a blacksmith. The weaver was my favorite. We were there on a weekend that they were doing a reenactment.
We saw soldiers marching down the street.
The drums were playing, the fifes were toot toot tooting. Ahhhhhhh.... this is the life!!!! We saw the oxen pulling a cart.
Awwwww how cute!!! The next day we went to Jamestown! Yay! We saw replicas of the Susan Constant, the Discovery, and the Godspeed. We got to go on the boats and see what it was like. We saw the bunks where they slept and below deck.
Some waves came from a ferry and made the boat rock, and it kind of freaked me out!! Woa!!!! Help!!! Help! This is a replica of the Powahatan Villiage. They even had real animal skins in there.
That was pretty cool! We are grinding corn.

I am carrying water buckets. They were kind of heavy.
Last we went to the James River to wade and play.

I got my hair cut!!! This was me before.
 This is me after.
 I got 12 inches cut off!!!! = ) I'm sending it to locks of love. This is a charity that makes wigs for kids who have lost their hair. I'm glad I did that!!!

Last Sunday was my birthday! I turned 10. For my birthday I got a bat, a horse etched in crystal,, an American Girl horse for my Felicity, a new charm for my bracelet, and a Tinker Bell pin for my lanyard that I got at Disney World. I also got electronic Sorry Card Revenge. I love that. It's a really fun game. My whole family likes to play it.
 I had strawberry cupcakes. They're really good.
We went horseback riding!!!! I got to ride my own horse. Her name was Mississippi. How cute! That's the first time I've ever really gotten to ride a horse. We went on an hour ride up a mountain. We went up 3100 feet!!! I LOVED IT!! I LOVED IT!! I LOVED IT!!
 After that, we went for a snack---Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Then we went to the park and played on the playground. After that, we went and ordered a pizza. While we waited on it, we went across the street to the bookstore, and bought some books. We picked our pizza up, and went back to the park, and ate our pizza in the dark. There were some lights, and we ate at a picnic table by the creek.

Back in December, my sister and I were in a play at church. I had a solo and a speaking part. Daniella also had a solo. That was fun. I played a missionary who had to be rescued from a raft at sea. This is my speaking part. This is my solo. I was excited that night, because I had never had speaking part before.
Last week we went to see the Silly Safaris show at Wilderness Wildlife Week. We saw a baby alligator, a bunny, an owl, a hedgehog, a small python, and a huge African bullfrog. We watched him eat a mouse whole! The show was cool.
baby alligator We also went to a show by the zoo. He had an albino possum, a macaw, a bearded dragon, and 2 Madacascar Hissing cockroaches. They were all neat, excpet the cockroaches.
huge snake skin We saw a bald eagle. His wings were huge. He was making a loud screeching sound, because he was mad at the man getting him out of the cage. The cage was humongous.
I held a Pine snake, too. It wrapped it's tail around my wrist. He kept wiggling his tonuge at me, and trying to get near my face.

They were huge. He also had animal skins. I got to touch a giraffe skin and tail. The tail was stiff feeling. I also touched a kangarro skin. It was very soft. There was a snake skin that was scaly and slippery feeling. In another room, I got to touch the skins of a bear, an elk, a fox, a coyote, and a wolf. That was so cool.

My Christmas was a good Christmas! I got a Felicity American Girl doll. I love Felicity! And the movie!! My grandparents got to come for Christmas!!! That was fun! My family does Advent at Christmas time. I like listening about Jesus's birth! How was your Christmas?

I have a cat named Shadow. He is 7 years old. This is my baby.
On October 17, 2006, I had just finished brushing my teeth, and I went in my room to look out my sliding glass door. When I looked out, I saw Shadow lying there. I opened the door to let him in, but as he tried to walk I saw he couldn't, and he was injured. I called my big sister, Briana. She came in, and I went to get Daddy. (My mom and other sisters were out of town.) His front right leg was hurt really bad.

It was torn all the way down to the bone. It was about 7 or 8 inches long. He was all wet because it was raining. We really quickly got ready to go to the vet. The vet said he was in shock, but that that was probably good because it kept him from bleeding and probably saved his life. At first they thought he might have been hit by a car, but then they changed it to thinking he got attacked by a wild animal. They had to do surgery on him, and they had to take out a lot of muscle. He had to stay in the vet for 2 weeks. He is at home now, but has to stay in a big cage. We try to pet him a lot, and we get him out of the cage a couple of times a day. He will probably have to stay in the cage for at least another week or 2. The vet said it would probably take a year and a half for him to get completely better. |
