When I signed up all of our children for horseback riding camp this summer, it was assumed they were all going to love every minute RIDING. Well, the oldest two did, but Zane refused to get on his pony, Lightning. Don't get me wrong, he LOVED his pony. He would take him for walks and brush him and talk to him. He just wouldn't get on him. Not even just "sit" on him. After the 3rd day, in Zane's own words, "Please stop encouraging me to ride Lightning" So I did. And can you believe it, Zane still had a wonderful time at camp. And then, lo and behold on the last day, graduation day, he hops on the pony's back, BAREBACK, and rides him to the top of the trail in the woods. Decides he doesn't like bareback, so he takes the pony back to the stables and rides her with a saddle!!! All I can say is thank you God for teaching me patience and thank you to Joey and Ms. Jane for being there as well.
