Bad Blogger

I know, I know, I've been a bad blogger. But boy has life gotten in the way. And it's only going to get worse I'm afraid.

The good news is that my husband finally got his orders. There were a lot of issues in getting them but, in the end, we were right and they were wrong. So ha-ha on all the detailers!!

And praise to God for His hand on this situation. Not only did He give us our desire to go back to Virginia, we've got a house lined up, and a new truck for Kevin. It's a great relief to know we won't have to deal with finding a house or renting a car. We'll enjoy beach living for a year and then look into buying our own house.

The other good news is that we leave in 28 days!!! Hooray!

The bad news is that they'll be taking my computer really soon. I'll surely be going through withdrawl. It could be a long while before I get it back. And since my husband will be gone by the time our household goods arrive (that's the other bad news, he leaves right away) at our new home, it will take another act of God to get the thing hooked up. I'm not very good at stuff like that.

But we're very excited! We're going back to Virginia and to our beloved church. I absolutely cannot wait!!!! The only people in Virginia who know we are coming is Kevin's brother (because my fil spilled the beans) and one of my on-line (soon to be IRL) friends. We're not telling anybody else. We're just showing up.

On the homeschool front, we finally started back up a couple of weeks ago. I ordered Core 1 and we started that this week. We are both LOVING the Bible portion. Leading Little Ones to God is a favorite already and I love that they have her reading from a real Bible.

I'm not looking forward to the more rigid homeschool laws in Virgina but I'm sure we'll adapt. At least I won't have to test her until next year. I'm sure she'll do well though.

I can't imagine what computer withdrawal must be like. I've never been without mine for more than three days.

It was Ric...Ric and is incessant need to tell a funny story. A story about how Grandma bought Mackenzie a winter coat and it was going to cost $137 to ship to Guam via UPS. Which lead to Uncle Donnie asking "Why does Mackenzie need a winter coat?" And from that point on Grandpa Ric stuck at least 3 feet in his mouth. Men! LOL

Hooray for Virginia! It's an awesome place to homeschool! So many fabulous field trip opportunities! And don't worry about the testing. Your sweet thing will blow those scores out of the water, it's a nuisance(taking the test I mean), but it'll give you bragging rights big time!
Good luck on the computer withdrawal....some days I think that wouldn't be such a bad thing for me. LOL!
How excited all your friends will be to see you again! (I can't believe they don't all keep up with your delightful blog!)
