ROLE MODEL PARENTING

Dear fellow homeschooler:

In my mind, the best way to parent children is by modeling the kind of life, behavior and habits we want them to have. But it seems to me that oftentimes parents, especially moms, sacrifice their dreams in order to support their children's dreams.

But what kind of a role model are we being when we do that? We are telling our children that they can be anything they want to be, that they can earn any amount of money they want to earn, that they can do anything they want in life... but then we give up on our own dreams.

Homeschooling takes a lot of time, I know that. I also know that staying home and raising children is very fulfilling, whether your a man or a woman. Just as long as you are not sacrificing your own dreams. You CAN be a good parent and still pursue your dreams. You CAN homeschool your children and run a business too. Many, many homeschoolers run sucessful businesses and homeschool their children at the same time. But some homeschoolers live under constant stress because they are trying to live on one income in this two income world. Have you been struggling to pay the bills lately?

I recently met a homeschooling mom who has built up one of the largest sites on the Internet, while at the same time homeschooling her children. Her children are involved in her business and benefit by seeing their mom come up with ideas, test those ideas, and both win and fail with those ideas. This mom has a list of "before I die goals" and her children have seen her consistently go after her goals one at a time. Now that's role model parenting!

The name of this homeschooling mom is Rebecca Kochenderfer and she is the co-founder and Senior Editor of Homeschool.com. Homeschool.com now has over two million visits a year and has even won an award from Forbes Magazine. Rebecca believes, and I agree with her, that one of the biggest challenges facing homeschoolers is not academics and not socialization -- it is financial. We live in a two paycheck world and it can be a struggle to live on just one income. This is why Rebecca asked a leading home business expert to help her create a special home business how-to course just for homeschoolers.

Together, Rebecca and Loral Langemeir (One of the top business consultants in the country) have created "The Home Business Quick Start for Homeschoolers." This six-week teleseminar teaches you the 7 secrets to building, leading and protecting your own business.

I know of your interest in this area and thought you would want to know about this program. Many have already taken this course and have wonderful things to say about it. I would suggest you look into this. You can learn more about it, Click here
