My Miracle Easter Shoes
Yesterday at Church, Miss Laura was informing me that I should get new shoes, because mine are... old... and that wearing them isn't exactly good for me. And I, being my typical self, shrugged, because I can't won't afford to buy shoes and she knows it. Any decent pair will cost enough money that would get me to school for two or three weeks.
We came home, and Mom told Jon to clean out the hall closet so that our Easter dinner guests could leave their coats there. He found a box with a brand new pair of Brooks shoes. No one in my family has ever seen them before, and they just happen to be size 10 1/2, which is my size, and don't make any jokes about "Big Foot". I have told them all. :-P They seem to be really good quality running shoes (as if I knew anything of shoes).

The great part? The blue-ish-green matches my orthotics. Why I'm happy about that, I have no idea. But, people tell me that I'm made happy very easily. I think that's a good thing.
So those are my Miracle Easter Shoes. Thank you, Lord! :-)
And on a more serious note, I would appreciate prayer for my "adopted aunt", Andrea. She's been sick for a while, but it wasn't until yesterday that I realized *how* sick she is. She came down from a town nearby after the flood to help out, and Grandma and Grandpa have now adopted her. Since coming down, she has been 'renting' and looking after the house of some people who live in Nevada right now. The house is full of mold from the moisture still in the house. Unfortunately, so are Andrea's lungs now. It's getting worse, and she might be in the hospital by the end of the week if the doctor can't figure out how to fix it. She was over for Easter dinner and looked pretty much awful. Please keep this dear lady in your prayers. :-(
