My Miracle Easter Shoes

Yesterday at Church, Miss Laura was informing me that I should get new shoes, because mine are... old... and that wearing them isn't exactly good for me. And I, being my typical self, shrugged, because I can't won't afford to buy shoes and she knows it. Any decent pair will cost enough money  that would get me to school for two or three weeks.

We came home, and Mom told Jon to clean out the hall closet so that our Easter dinner guests could leave their coats there. He found a box with a brand new pair of Brooks shoes. No one in my family has ever seen them before, and they just happen to be size 10 1/2, which is my size, and don't make any jokes about "Big Foot". I have told them all. :-P They seem to be really good quality running shoes (as if I knew anything of shoes).

The great part? The blue-ish-green matches my orthotics. Why I'm happy about that, I have no idea. But, people tell me that I'm made happy very easily. I think that's a good thing.

So those are my Miracle Easter Shoes. Thank you, Lord! :-)

And on a more serious note, I would appreciate prayer for my "adopted aunt", Andrea. She's been sick for a while, but it wasn't until yesterday that I realized *how* sick she is. She came down from a town nearby after the flood to help out, and Grandma and Grandpa have now adopted her. Since coming down, she has been 'renting' and looking after the house of some people who live in Nevada right now. The house is full of mold from the moisture still in the house. Unfortunately, so are Andrea's lungs now. It's getting worse, and she might be in the hospital by the end of the week if the doctor can't figure out how to fix it. She was over for Easter dinner and looked pretty much awful. Please keep this dear lady in your prayers. :-(

I giggled when I read your post... I don't buy shoes either!!! I like to wear the ones I have and have a hard time spending money on new ones. I like these, though. Great colors!

Hope you had a wonderful celebration yesterday.

I hope your adopted aunt will be better soon!

10 1/2? How tall are you? It's weird with me... my shoe size is anywhere from 7 to 8 (at least, 8 in sneekers and boots, other things seem to be 7 and 7 1/2), and I'm taller than both my sisters... but their feet are bigger than mine. And I'm older than them, too. weird. lol

Everything's good here... except I have another exam in Western Civ tomorrow... aaack! I hate all these exams! I have one the week after next in College Computing. lol My spring break is next week. Can't wait!!! lol :P

*hugs*

Your shoes are pretty cool... not exactly my colours, but definitely my style. :D

And thanks for your non-flattery comment. LOL I am glad you liked the pillowcase!

That'd be cool, but I don't know if my mom wants to go through all that work.

Haha, costume parties are fun.. though I've only been to one before. :P

Oh, wow. I haven't had my height measured in... forever. I'm between 5'6 and 5'7... or something. Don't really know. :P Yes... guys have big feet. LOL Eh? How did Legolas give you a foot condition? o.O

Thanks! I think our class average is 70% or somewhere around there. I actually got an A something on this quiz! I don't exactly remember what I got wrong, but I'll see on Thursday.

Jennifer

P.S. That's ok, I love long comments. :D

Am I the good or evil twin, let me think... I think I shall not tell you ;-)
And yeah, mine was a stone, not a jewel, but I think you can have it and I'll change mine.
My theory with the light in a box is that it will be absorbed in too large of a proportion and use itself up. How would you connect the mirrors together? If you are right about it not absorbing enough light, than you could put something in there to absorb it better than the mirrors would. Good luck, and show and tell it when you finish!
God Bless,
Christina

Hey Jen
Thanks for the comment.... you're funny. I think yours passes inspection. :D And yeah, I didn't know if I should put a few of those phrases on, but I wanted to get the point across.

"The only famous person worth worshiping is Jesus." Agreed!
