Catch-all tech post
Wow... THIS is kind of amazing. I just stumbled across it via yahoo and man... Computer viruses are really something, aren't they?
Here's a PURSE that Mom needs.
And I think THIS would be awesome. If I listened to iPods or anything. I have a thing for dogtags, though. I want to get one (a dogtag, not a... yeah, you get the idea) with the Rishtah Alliance symbol, my name, and "Protestant" on it. If you don't know what the RA is, you'll have to wait until my book is published. :-P
THIS post is a series of MacGyvered answers to tech problems. They're pretty cool. If you're a newcomer to my blog, yes, MacGyver is a verb.
Edited to add: And isn't this fun? Just after I posted about viruses, M ran Ad-Aware on my computer and found something in the neighborhood of 600 privacy invasions on my computer from websites. Mostly blogs. Has anyone else had this happen, or is it just me my computer? M figures I can run Ad-Aware every week and it'll keep it cleaned up, but I really don't like the idea of hundreds of things downloading on my computer whenever I visit Jess, Andi, Ian, Mary, Gabriele, Cheryl, Jocelyn, Jennifer... *throws hissy fit, then a tantrum for good measure*
Anyway, do you have any ideas on how to fix this? I've got AVG, Ad-Aware, ZoneAlarm... lots of stuff. M says that I can't get anything to fix this completely without spending lots of money and bogging down the computer. I'm, er, hoping he's wrong. Maybe Kim Komando has something. |
