How 'bout that weather?
It's snowing. In April. I know that doesn't phase a lot of you, but around here... Snow? In April? Have you gone off your rocker? We never have snow in... Actually, let's just leave it at "We never have snow". Pretty much true. Weird.
There was something I was going to blog about. I don't remember now. Oh, here's something for my dear friend, Katie...
My English 102 paper is an argument about chocolate. (Yes, Katie, I am venturing into the world of nutrition. You didn't think I could, did you? I'm full of surprises) My box here by my desk has a few printed articles and Mom's Nutrition Almanac. If anyone has any book suggestions, I'll be totally cool with you telling me about them... *hint hint* :-P
The argument: The theobromine in dark chocolate has health benefits that outweigh the risks.
The intended audience: My mother. (right, like that'll ever work) A regular college class of kids.
The length and breadth of the paper: 8-12 pages long
The required resources: 2 credible books, 3 academic journals, 2 credible websites, + 3 others. Probably books.
I am willing to change my argument upon further evidence. I don't want to, but I'm open to it. I'll still eat chocolate, though.
Did I mention I hate this class? I do. Research is NOT FUN. Give me a calculator and a chemistry book... but, no, I have to do English. *feels everyone's stares* Yeah, I'm a little strange. But you knew that.
Basically, all this adds up to is that I've got a ton of research to do, I'm behind in my chemistry homework, I need David's help with it and he's never around (surprise, surprise), I've got a bunch of things to write for German, and I'm about thisclose to pulling my hair out. If there are no blog posts from me this week, I've probably died or am so surrounded by these school projects that I can't see over the top of them.
And I can forget writing for the time being.
I hate school. |

My folks swear by that thesis--so much so that every evening, after supper, they each have 2 (exactly so) pieces of very, very dark chocolate. Yes! I will eat any kind of chocolate, so I was happy to indulge in the "health choice" when I stayed with them last month. he-he. I can't keep it around because I would eat up all the healthy chocolate in 2 days. I think it goes against you in that case.
OK...better have somebody proofread your research paper if you are going to spell "faze" as "phase." LOL
Keep warm!
