An explanation for Miss Jocelyn :-)
Aren is my brain-child (along with all my other characters). He's a little off-the-wall, but I like him. Aren came into existence as I was listening to a radio medical program, actually. A guy called up the doctor and said that he'd had chronic cough for years. Voila! Aren walked out of my closet. (Bet you didn't know that, did you, Miss Laura?) He gave a look to the thirteen-year-old me that said, "Why are you going to write about me?" My reply was, "Why not?"
Why not? Well, because he has a terribly confusing personality, a chronic disease that I've had to do gobs of research on, is a secret agent/bounty hunter, has four or five different names, and is slightly incredibly quirky. For example: Never touch his hat or he will throw a fit. I was like "Wha...?" the first time it happened. And he only has white shirts. He never cleans his room, either. O.o
I finally found a song that would fit him on Earth in this time period. Renegade by Styx. The title says it all, don't it? It is a rock song, so if you're not inclined to that sort of music, you need not look it up. Aren's just sort of that kind of guy. I am convinced that he would have an electric guitar.
Now I must study for my German test tomorrow, but there's a nowhere-near-complete description of Aren Kelran-Tayg Mintulo.
