So. Yesterday. (writing update)

Writing almost 30 pages can give you a headache. I found that out yesterday. I just got into the zone, and I couldn't stop! Well, I did stop for Sarah Palin's speech. Wow. I adore her. But then I went back to writing and pounded out another 1000 words before bed.

I was at 2500 words before going down to pick beans for dinner, and I'd thought that maybe I'd be lucky and get all the way to 4K before bed. Actually, I hit 4K before dinner. Then 6K before 10 when Mom sent me to bed. I was so happy. And tired.

*laughs* This is fun. I'm at 80 pages now for this untitled novel. No, no one is going to get to read this one yet. I'm going to be evil and keep it all to myself. Mwahaha!

6k before 10pm! Onto another topic...
Only on rare occasions do I miss having TV reception. Judging from all the clips I heard on the radio early this morning, I would have loved to have seen that.

Hope you are over your headache :) Mrs B

You are incredible. How can you write so much in one sitting? You're killing me, Lyric.
Oh, and WHAT pilot thing from MacGyver? Believe this if you will, I've only seen one MacGyver episode in my life. Surprised? I had NO CLUE who Richard Dean Anderson was when I started falling in love with Stargate. Really.
So scratch that theory of yours about the horse. The reason I picked a palomino is because I thought it was the prettiest of the colorings for a horse. Sorry. It was that simple.
And double-blech on the Stargate Retalitaion novel opening. And triple for the other Stargate novels I've TRIED to read. They drag. Give me a good, well-written Star Trek or Star Wars novel (and those are few and far between, I'm sad to say).

Sadly, I have a plate that is so full that stuff is toppling off into the black pit of no return. Luckily (oh, look at those "ly" adverbs I'm using!) Mindtrap Monday is something that can go into the hole without me feeling too much of a sense of loss. I have so many other responsibilities, and the reading is actually so much fun with the boys that I gladly give up MM to focus on that. LOL
I blog Wed. and Fridays. Maybe I visit on other days, but no promises. I have a "Blogging without Obligation" mindset.
Oh, and it is very wonderful when parents e-mail me privately and tell me how much the WW has blessed their families, and then the go on to share how. Gives me chills to know that God really can use the internet as a tool for us who don't really like being social, running all over the county, yet we like to help others and use our "gifts" (for me, teaching) to bless others. It helps when I feel discouraged that I'm not really "doing anything" to advance the Kingdom, ya know?
Oh, have you read Do Hard Things by Brett and Alex Harris? BUY IT! I got it for Ryan and he read it pretty much straight through. Now I'm reading it. It's written for teens who want to rebel against the low expectations expected from them by our culture. But this book should be read by everyone! (Did you know there was no such word as "teenager" until the Readers Digest coined it in 1941?). I feel ripped off as a teen because I feel I never did grow up until I was married. Even now I have to consciously work at "doing hard things."
I should review it and post it on my blog. I guess the Harris' boys blog/website is the most popular teen blog on the entire internet. www.therebelution.com or something like that.
