A season for......Purple Orchids

• August 18, 2005 - He is healing!!!!!!!!!!!

My son is getting better.  I think that I could give him his antibiotics in my sleep now.

His SED rate is now down to 58 as of last Thursday, and his CRP rate was 1.99.

The doctor took out his stitches in his leg.  So hopefully we won't have to give him this stuff much longer.

This year my dh wanted him to go to half-day K5, to help him come out of his shell.

So, he has been good for them, but the only thing he want talk for them.  So, I'm hoping that he will come out of his shell soon.  He talks  up a storm at home, it is just around people that he is not familiar with, he won't talk.

Your son sounds like mine. Hope your experience is different. Josh was very talkative, open, actually a good conversationalist in family situations but shy and reserved in groups. By the time he was seven, people began to comment on it. I was told by our pastor that homeschooling was the problem; that he needed to be around other children more often. After consideration and prayer, hubby and I decided the pastor must know best and bundled Josh off to a Christian school. The problem increased as he felt forced to associate with kids he did not see as friends. After being returned to homeschooling, he gradually became more outgoing totally on his own.
