Hi everyone! Okay, since I haven't posted in a while, I have allot to write!! First off- here is a picture of copper that I've been promising:
And... We also go three ADORABLE Jersey calves! They're so cute! They're bull calves and the farm was going to shoot them because they'd bring them to the auction and it would cost more money to actually get there then how much they were being paid for the calves. I'm sorry but I couldn't shoot a calf! I think it's just because they're babies though. :-/ here's a pic:
We didn't get as much school work done this week as my mom probably would've liked because we had the stomach bug from Sunday afternoon to yesterday!! It was horrible! I Susanna and Alyssa were sick on Sunday, Jonah and I were sick on Monday, Mom got sick on Tuesday and she had it till yesterday. My dad felt a little sick but he didn't actually get sick.
I had Hippology on Tuesday and we were learning about internal and external parasites and diseases. It was actually pretty interesting. But some of the pictures were nasty looking. On Wednesday, Dusty, our ferrier, came and trimmed our horses hooves, heres a pic:
I had a 4-H meeting and we went over show dates, programs through the County office building, movie night, can and bottle drive, you know, all that fun stuff. Anyway...
Then yesterday, we were supposed to have gym and Susanna was supposed to have dance but we decided not to go because my mom still felt sick and the weather was really nasty- you've heard of sleeting, well it was slushing! But I still had to go to Lone Birch (Sigh) I really didn't feel like going but I had fun when I got there. I helped this girl name kaitlin a little bit with her green broke horse "Faith" Then I helped a lady a little bit with the tacking up part of her lesson, She was tacking up Blaze and he's really fat and he bloats AND she had fake nails on. So I girthed him up for her and then I helped her with her bridle. Then, I told her that her saddle was really pretty. (it was an English saddle) and she said oh, thank you, it's a crosby. I said cool. And then she said she got it at a BIG horse show for 1800.00!! And that she'd been looking all over for one, Then she said I could try it! Actually ride in it! She said it's like sitting on a pillow. I'm kind of exited about it but also nervous because I might damage it somehow shape or form and my parents will probably take the 1800.00 that they have to pay for it out of MY hide! (they wouldn't really but how much do you wanna bet that they'd ground my for LIFE???) Then, she told me that it was originally 2800.00!!!! My mom laughed when I told her that one. LOL And when I told Joanne that, she said that it's good to sit in a really expensive saddle because then you realize how much you want to save up for one! LOL
Well... I G2G
