Radio program in commemoration of the battle of Vimy Ridge
In partnership with Radio-Canada, Alliance Française of Vancouver organizes a radio program to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge.
Many historians and writers consider the Canadian victory at Vimy as a defining moment for Canada, when the country emerged from under the shadow of Britain and fell capable of greatness. Canadian troops also earned a reputation as formidable, effective troops because of the stunning success. But it was a victory at a terrible cost, with more than 10,000 killed and wounded.
Don’t miss this commemoration that involve and put together France and Canada on Radio-Canada (97.7FM) broadcasted on April 10th.

Hello ~ This is in response to the comment from yesterday...I will definitely keep you posted to the time in which this program will be broadcast. My source is an online francophone community from the West Coast. Check back over the days ahead, I'll post as the information becomes available. Do you know if this broadcast is something I will be able to find online at some time? How would I go about finding out? I'm quite interested in hearing this, as I've been to Vimy several times, having lived not far from there for a couple of years. It's an incredible thing to see and think about.
