Have you ever wondered why curriculum is so expensive? And so hard to find in Quebec? It's a million dollar industry but virtually doesn't exist here! I was sitting here thinking about how hard it is to find resources, when my son walked over and began talking about, 'TheMagicSchoolBus: Explores theSolarSystem', that he's presently reading. Gosh, how my kids and I enjoyed the Magic School Bus books by Joanna Cole and the cartoon series on PBS! We'd spend hours discussing what we had learned and seen. I particularly liked this series because it's available in both French and English! I started thinking, 'it's easily found in our local library! And it's fun! And FREE!' That's right! FREE!
The Magic School Bus's Teacher Feature @ Scholastic has fabulous games and activities! Another site that offers links to Magic School Bus learning related lessons and activities is Teacher Created Resources! You must check out their 'FREE' section! Wonderful! I have a few of their lesson books -- they are my family's favorite lessons ideas!
I managed to scrape together a few links for you! Have fun!
So go on, cuddle up and watch some cartoons together or better yet, grab a book and go on a 'Magic School Bus' adventure!

Thanks for the comment, Thea! I still have a large pumpkin sitting waiting for me to cook and make pumpkin everything. I think it will keep for a while.
I tried a pumpkin smoothie recipe using a big squash
we were given. I liked it, my family did not.
I'm not sure what to do with the state blog. Some time in Oct. or Sept. the posts became huge. I e mailed tech. support but never heard anything back. What's odd is when I post and look at just that entry it often looks correct and the sidebar can be seen...it's there. But then when one looks at the home page, as a visitor would...it's huge and there's no side bar. Short of deleting lots of
posts and starting over I'm not sure what to do and how to keep it from happening.
I tried to minimize the font on a lot of posts but that didn't work either. So now the state blog doesn't have all the normal bells and whistles on the sidebar.
Those cookie recipes are scary. We made a few batches of cookies lately and truly I think I look bigger. So I'm backing off. With winter here there's so much less outside activity that cookies, as you said, just like to sit on the hips. I do have to go scoop horsey poo...my
"workouts". I even make myself walk further to the wheelbarrel.
