Our beautiful province is so rich in culture and history! I wanted to provide links to various sites that might help you teach your children more than just where it is! The links, I've provided below, will hopefully touch on the spirit of Québec! Live.Laugh.Learn.
Maple Syrup which must include our trees! Of course!
Role Playing / Charlotte Mason Approach - I found a link that informs about the program at the Tiffin Centre (located in Ontario - contact for them about their homeschool program, here) I felt this could be used for the lessons it might inspire!
There's always more to find but that's enough for today! I'll get to the history of Québec in my next post!

I thought I'd quickly throw in this entry about the study of Québec as many of you are planning your year ahead. Whether you choose to study about Québec in kindergarten or wait until secondary 5, it is a required course! If you check out the various web links, you'll find maps, web games and more, to accompany your studies about Québec.
If you check out our History & Social Studies link, you'll find many invaluable links to help you in your studies of Canada and it's provinces but very few are directly related to the study of Québec.
I found a very interesting Webquest created by students of UBC Graduate Course, which is intended to be used with grade 6 social studies, language arts, visual arts and French curriculum for anyone interested in investigations using an inquiry format. It's called the Geography of Québec. It can be found here.
