1.  When you get in your car after running ho-hum errands and realize that it is 4 o'clock and therefore you are going to catch the very beginning of NPR news and get to listen to it all the way home.

2.  When you stumble on a sale, take your shockingly good deals to the cash register, and learn that the items ring up even cheaper than their price tags say.  (Used to happen all the time in Proffitt's.) 

3.  When you get out of bed, someone else has already made coffee. 

4.  You're desperately searching the fridge for something to cook for a quick lunch between homeschool lessons (and quickly losing hope) and you stumble upon a whole tupperware full of lovely, fresh meatloaf that you forgot all about. 

5.  The doorbell rings and it's the UPS man.  There's that split-second that you think the package might actually be for you, before you check the label and it is just more computer parts for the King...

6.  Your older children peek into your bedroom early in the morning while you are barely conscious and wishing for another hour of precious sleep.  They ascertain that the baby is wake and using you as a jungle gym, and ask sweetly if they can take him into the den to play with him. 

7.  You are confident that it is Thursday right up until noon, when you learn that it is actually Friday. 

8.  You realize that the route for today's errand will take you right by the new Starbuck's drive-thru window.

9.  You are multi-tasking while driving the family mini-van and wham!  You knock the right-hand mirror right out of its housing while smashing someone's plastic mailbox that is a bit too close to the road.  After making amends with the owner of said mailbox, sweating bullets before showing hubby the damage, and hubby takes over the wheel, he then proceeds to back the family mini-van into a large, brick mailbox.  The bumper is skinned, the brake light lens is broken, and hubby is not mad at you any longer for breaking off the mirror.

I'm sure that I will think of 1 more thing that could have made this a nice round number right after I press "add new entry."   What makes you feel like it is your lucky day?

Hm.....

1, discovering that you didn't actually eat ALL the chocolate, yesterday, and there's a piece left

2. your daughter brings you a Snickers bar she bought at Awana store just for you

3. your husband brings you chocolate, or roses, or chocolate

(hm........is there a theme, here?)

Especially on days when I have nothing creative to say ... or I believe there is no point in saying what I want to say ... such as, what in the world was I thinking when I encouraged that boy to develop ideas of his own ... better yet ... to even speak!
I'll work on the lucky day thing!
