All About Basha (dictated by Joley)

We have a dog.

Her name is Basha.

I love her.

She is little.

She is bigger than a chihuahua but smaller than a giraffe.

Giraffes are bigger because they have long, long, long, necks.

We like to play ball.

I like to read stories to her when she goes to bed and when she wakes up.

I am going to type my name now

JOLEY

More On Runescape

Posted in Zachs Zone

I want to tell you more about Runescape.  There is a friends list for if you make any friends and an ignore list if someone was being mean to you.  There is also a report abuse button if someone was being really, really mean to you.  But, there are a lot of people that will be nice to you.

There are also quests you can do.  By doing quests you can get special stuff that you can only get by doing a quest.   There are also quest points. If you get enough, you can join the Champion’s Guild and get good stuff like rune items.   They are really good, but expensive.

Here are some tips about Runescape.  If you ever go in the Wild, I recommend you are a high level or only bring three things.  The reason for this is if you die you lose everything except three things.  But, if you only bring three things, you will not lose anything. At the duel arena, do not stake an item because another person has a good chance of beating you unless you are a high level. But, you can just duel for fun, too.

Here Is Something About Runescape

Posted in Zachs Zone

Have you ever heard of Runescape?  It is one of the best games online.  It is full of adventure, action, and life.

The adventure part of the game is that you can go to different cities and places. The action part is that you can fight cool, weird creatures and gain levels, and you can also fight other players online in the wild.  The life part is that you can earn money by doing certain things like fishing.

So, if this sounds fun, visit Runescape.com.  Check back for more about Runescape, coming soon.

The Pioneer Frog (by Zach)

Posted in Zachs Zone

Last week we went to Pioneer Park.  We found a baby frog at the park.  It was green and then it went into some brown bushes and camouflaged its skin into brown.  Then it stopped and I pet it.  It did not move, it was really cool.

Secrets of Droon Book Review by Zach

Posted in Zachs Zone

Have you wanted to find a magical land under a staircase?  Have you ever wanted magical powers?  That’s what it’s like in Droon.

This year I have been reading the Secrets of Droon series. They were written by Tony Abbott. So far there are 27 books and 3 special editions in the series. I also know that the author is writing book 32.

The Secrets of Droon is a series of fantasy books.  Droon is a magical land full of adventure mystery, and friends.  The kids who found Droon are Eric, Julie, and Neal.  Their good friend in Droon is a princess named keeah.  Together they fight the evil sorcerer Lord Sparr.

I recommend this series of books. The characters are fun and funny. The stories are mysterious and clever.  There are many cool creatures in Droon.  If you’re looking for a good book series this is it.

Nature Study (As Dictated by Joley)

Yesterday I found a caterpillar.  It is black and furry, and we named him “Fuzzy.”  It was outside in the front crawling on the garage door.  I picked it up and put it in the bug box Emma gave me.  We made him a new home.  We put some leaves in a big jar and put Fuzzy inside.

I am watching Fuzzy because he will turn into a butterfly.  Fuzzy is cute.

(Mom's Note:  Joley is our little naturalist.  It is not uncommon to find her with a rolie-polie - or two or three or four - in her hand.  Or, she might be putting all of the snails in a pile)
