Jul. 9, 2005 - Sabbath afternoon

Well, I am completely new at this whole blogging thing.  My step daughter started it all a year or so ago.  I have heard of full grown adults doing it, so I said hey, if everyone else is doing it why not give it a try.  :)  Not that I am a complete follower...just curious about the whole blog thing.  We'll see how long this lasts. 

Today was a beautiful Sabbath day.  Went to church, taught the kindergarten class and then celebrated my eldest son's 10th birthday at the pool.  It was marvelous!  He is in in gift heaven right now...I imagine he won't be leaving his room anytime soon. 

Katelyn is in from Union College for the weekend.  She brought a friend.  NIce girl.  She has really changed tons since she has gone away to college.  I have to pat myself on the back, though...here is a terrific result of homeschooling.  Whenever I doubt myself and my motives for homeschooling, I take a long hard look at her and KNOW I am on the right path.  Praise God!!  He was so good in giving me her first@!! I will have to post a few pics later on...she is not only beautiful in spirit  but in appearance as well. 

I am going to start looking over our new KONO's curriculum in a few days...need to get all of my resources lined up.  I am praying it isn't too much prep time. 

Well, that is the end of my very first blog...guess I will keep this up for a while.
