Mar. 1, 2006 - A beautiful day for the zoo!
Wow, it was 80 degrees today in Kansas!! The average for March 1st is low to upper 60's. Wow!! We headed to the zoo, even though most of it is closed for constrution/improvements. There were two other homeschooling families. We had 15 children together!!!! Yikes!! We got tons of stares!! One mom even stopped to ask if we were homeschoolers. At first I thought it was going to be a rude comment but she admited she too was a homeschooling family, there for her hubbies birthday. How cool!! When I first started this journey five years ago, I thought I'd be alone forever, that my boys would never have close pals, that I wouldn't have close pals. Now look at us!! 15 strong and growing all the time. Praise God for his mercy and grace. He has provided us with friends and supporters on this journey.

Just blog browsing today and came across you. I have been enjoying your posts. Wow - you lost 40 pounds. how long did it take? I am in dire need to loose 20 to 25 and it just seems impossible. I don't seem to be able to stay consistent at my exercise plan. I do eat good. But i have to work all day sitting on my rear, talking on the phone. I can relate to the struggle of working and not being able give fulltime day attention to your child(ren). I'm a single parent, work at home employee, homeschooling my 14yoD. She struggled greatly through elementary school and now the Lord has opened up the path for her to homeschool, and let her see that learning can be a very enjoyable experience.
80 degrees today, huh? wow, 85 i think here in my neck of the woods in Florida! |
