Mara jumped so high she could have touched the cealing.
" JEROME!!! don't ever sneak up on me like that. I nearly jumped out my skin."
" I know that would be a terrible shame since it is such pretty skin."
" Don't even try to flatter me. "
" Are you still steemed about my catching you?"
" Of course not. But I do wish I didn't have that gaurd outside my door."
" Why is he being disrespectful again?"
" Yes, he makes the most inapropriate comments."
" Don't worry you shall have a new gaurd tonight."
" Do I have to have a gaurd at all Jerome?"
" Yes, how do I know you won't run away again? I mean I couldn't bare to have my Betr.........friend run away."
" I wouldn't run." Mara had noticed how he stopped in the middle of a word
and changed what he was saying.
She thought to herself He is hiding something and I think I might know what.
"Jerome I am going to my room now I need to think about something."
" I hope not how your going to escape this time."
" Of course not I am just pondering something "
" Fine you may go also there is a message from your father."
" Thank you, I hope this new gaurd is nicer than the last."
" He will be, just wait and see."
Mara walked to her room. She passed the gaurd who was sleeping and opened her door. Her first thought was alone atlast.
Quickly opening the message from her father she read.
Darling Daughter,
I have written to tell you that after meeting with the prince and his father
I am proud to say my only child is betrothed.
You will marry the prince on New Years day.
His father likes you and the prince is smitten.
He says he likes your spirit. I wasn't supposed to tell you this but
I thought it most amusing that he liked how well you arued.
I must say I was surprised about how much he wanted to marry you.
I mean you are gorgeous but still he says he could never find anyone
on earth quite so matched to him as you.
I believe you and him are perfect for each other.
I hope you find this news as exciting as all the people of
the wonderful country of Cataσ.
And when I am gone Cataσ and Mσrpaρ will be joined together.
I shall send a seemstress to help you plan your gown in a few weeks.

I have it! It is Jerome. I mean when he entered the dining hall his father said,
"Ahh my s....ehem final guests
have arrived!" That sounds so like he started to say son. Then Jerome
had think before he told me his name.
Also He just a few moments ago said,
" Yes, how do I know you won't
run away again? I mean I couldn't bare to have my Betr.........friend
run away." he had started to say betrothed.
Now I know why my father warned me to be nice to Jerome.
Jerome is the prince!
