Quiver's House

I posted on "The Well Trained Mind" mesage boards a few weeks ago asking whether I should buy real encyclopedias or a CD version. I really wanted books. I know I can't afford them so I emailed my mom, dad, brothers etc. I nicely wrote that I am looking at this set of books and how much it was and that it would make a great gift idea if they wanted to help in any way. Everyone emailed back that they couldn't afford to pitch in. I was sad and figured we couldn't afford to buy the books.
So today I drive by the library and see the sign that today was the book sale. It was 11:30 and the sale started at 10. I was so upset that I missed the openeing, sure that all the "good" books would be gone.
I walked out of there with a complete 1993 set of Law encyclopedias( my 14 yo wants to be either a lawyer or a police officer) a complete 1995 set of regular encyclopedias, a complete set of student encyclopedias and a complete set of science encyclopedias. I also got 3 big boxes of assorted other books, but mostly historical fiction!
All these books for $30.00! I sat in the library's parking lot and cried and thanked the Lord for providing and reminding me that He does indeed care about even the smallest of my needs.
