Quiver's House

November 28, 2005
Back into a routine

Started today by jumping out of bed at 6:15 so I could get myself ready to bring Melissa and William in for physicals. I was up a lot with William last night, so I really, really wanted to sleep longer. We got ready and had the van heating up when the phone rings; the Dr was sick and needed to reschedule.

So, we did morning prayers and our group stuff, then I set the younger ones working on their independent work and Melissa and I headed out for her job interview at a small intown grocery store. The woman seemed interested and Melissa thinks she has the job. She likes working the potato harvest, but has been wanting a steady year-round job instead

Once we got back, the younger ones and I did history (Story of the World 3-which they LOVE) then writing, grammar, reading and math. The older ones are just finishing up now at 4:30 PM, but they goofed off a bit at lunch time.

Although we got off to a slow start, it was still a good day and we accomplished more than I thought we would. Now, if I could just think of something for dinner!

November 29, 2005 - Dinner...

Posted by EagleAcademy

I'm noticing it's tough to follow up the Thanksgiving meal. Nothing 'measures' up after such a terrific dinner.

Glad to hear things are going well for you guys.
