Quiver's House

We have had a busy, but nice weekend. On Friday, my 2 oldest children and I were up and out the door for Wal-mart by 6:15 AM. I picked up a few lay a ways I had for Christmas and did my weekly food shopping. After we got home and unloaded everything, Melissa, William and I headed back out to go to the Dr's.
Get to the Dr's to find out they are having a mock medical emergency and she can only see one of the kids. So, we decide Melissa can wait, but William should get examined for his 9 month check up, even though he is now 10 months LOL.
The Dr and I get talking and she mentioned how she needs to pick up her son's pictures from Wal-Mart. Since they canceled Melissa's appointment, I had planned to take Melissa to the mall for work clothes instead. The mall is near Wal-Mart, so I offered to pick up her pictures, too. Ended up running around and doing more errands then back to drop off her pictures then finally got home right around 2PM. I had to work 3-9, so I made a coffee and headed to my desk. Whew, what a day!
Saturday I woke up with the worst headache. Took some Motrin and Sudafed and nursed a cup of coffee until my head cleared enough to shower. After, Melissa and I headed to the dollar store to for more Christmas decorations and then later that evening hubby and the oldest 4 went and picked up our tree.
I worked 3-6 Saturday and then after the kids decorated the tree. William was so funny as he watched it come together. He had no idea why this thing was in the house. He has been OK with touching it, but we have lost a few bulbs already. I have joked that the tree wont make it to Christmas day.
Andrew, Seth and Hannah
Sunday, after we did church, Rick took Melissa driving and dropped the oldest 3 boys off at the airport. Danny (14) and Mike (12) got their first flight and Ricky got to log his 5th hour flying. Ricky was able to take off and land without the instructors help, which he was thrilled to do!
I spent the afternoon praying the boys would be safe *smile* and wrapping gifts. I got everything wrapped and put away, finishing about 30 minutes before they got home. Alisha (11) was a great help and watched Hannah and William while I wrapped.
Today was back into the routine-school and work. Everyone has been working hard and getting alot done. Ricky and I had to have a heart to heart today because he has NOT been doing all his work and just doesn't have a great attitde towards school. He seems to be working hard now, so hopeflly it sunk in.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! |
