Quiver's House

Melissa's oral surgery was uneventful and we were home before noon. She has been sleeping a lot since then, but I think its the pain medicine. The doctor doesn't think she will swell or bruise too much, so thats a relief.
The oldest 3 boys spent today getting their stuff together for the trip to Washington DC and Alrington National Cemetery. They have to be at the local airport Tuesday night and will spend the night at an armory in Southern Maine. Then they leave at 3:00 AM Wednesday for DC and will get home again on Friday evening. They are really looking forward to the trip.
I spent this aftrnoon wrapping a few odd gifts I picked up today. I expect two more things via UPS this week and thats it, other than one gift that I need to pick up and deliver to a family here in my area.
I am thinking of making Raindeer Kisses for our neighbors, the mail woman and rubbish collectors. I got this recipe off the WTM message board and it looks super easy and fun!
Raindeer Kisses
Take a small pretzels, top each with a Hershey's kiss. Put them on a cookie sheet in a warm oven just long enough to soften but not melt the kiss. Smush a green or red M&M onto the kiss and let them cool.
We have a cookie exchange to go to and we plan to make rolled sugar cookies for that and the little ones are looking forward to "helping" with them. All the children are all looking forward to making gingerbread houses again this year. We all have a great time working on these. Last year, we had been studying medievel history, so we made a gingerbread castle!
Have a great weekend :-)
