NEXT WEEK - Our End of the Year Celebration will be on Friday, May 29, 6:00 p.m., in the Community Room at the Bethalto Village Hall.  Pizza, Fried Chicken & Drinks will be provided.  If you'd like to bring something to share, we'll need salads, side dishes, or desserts.  Please RSVP by May 26th so I have an idea of how much food to order.  Grandparents or other special friends & relatives are welcome.

 

This will also be a chance for the kids to display any of the work they've done this year.  Tables will be available in the room to set up science projects, history projects, artwork, etc. or just samples of what they've been working on.  Little ones could bring drawings or favorite books they've read this year.  The room will be open all afternoon if you'd like to come in and set up your work before dinnertime.  (This is definitely optional. - If your kids don't want to set up a presentation, we still want you to join us for the celebration.)

 

Since June 5th will be our last regular meeting for this school year we'll have a few things going on that are a little different:

1)  Abundant Life has been very hospitable in allowing us to use their facilities every month.  I'd like to take a collection next month that we can donate to one of their ministries.  If you have a couple of dollars that you'd like to donate, there will be a collection can at the June meeting.  I'll also have a Thank You card to sign. 

2)  The June meeting will be a chance to buy, sell, trade or give away your used homeschooling/children's items.  Mark the things that you'd like to sell with your name & a price.  There will also be a FREE table - worksheets that never got used, half-done activity books, homemade teaching games that you've outgrown, etc. - anything you'd like to give away might be useful to another homeschooling family. 

3)  Our final collection for Oasis will be diapers.  Bring any size or brand you'd like to donate. (You can also bring them to Bowling or the 5/29 dinner if it's more convenient.)
