Friday, September 4 1:00 p.m. RCHEC Monthly Meeting at Abundant Life Church on Humbert Rd in Alton. Since this is our first meeting of the year, it will be a meet & greet time. Sign-up sheets for upcoming events and volunteer opportunities will be available. We always have a "Free Table" - If you have items that you'd like to pass on to other homeschoolers, you're welcome to add them to the table.
*****A membership form is being sent in a separate email. Copies will also be available at the meeting. Please turn the form in at the first meeting or send to: Janet Workman; 3418 Gilham Ave.; Alton, IL 62002. The information provided will be used to prepare a directory which will be distributed only to the other members. It is often helpful to see if there are others with children the same age, using a particular curriculum, living nearby for playdays, etc. Our activities and meetings are always open to all homeschoolers.
Tuesday, September 22 9:00 Eckert's Orchard Field Trip
We will meet at the Wood River Shop N Save (1904 E Edwardsville Rd.) at 9:00 to caravan to the Millstadt, IL Eckert's location. $7.00 per child includes Fun Farm admission, wagon ride, petting farm, shows, apple cider & one bag of pick-your-own apples. There is no charge for adults unless you would like to purchase additional apples. Picnic tables are available. Bring your own lunch or purchase food at the farm. Sign up at the meeting or RSVP to wdworkman@aol.com. Payment can be cash or checks made out to "RCHEC" the day of the field trip. (If you plan to meet us at the Farm instead of Shop N Save, please let me know so we won't wait for you. Eckert's has requested that we be ready to start no later than 10:15.)
Friday, September 25 2:00 p.m. BOWLING at Bowl Haven in Alton. $1.85 per person/per game includes shoe rental. Please sign in & pay before you bowl.
Wednesday, October 7 9:30 a.m. Nature Institute, 2213 S. Levis Lane, Godfrey, IL.
Patti, our leader, will give us a seasonal nature presentation followed by a hike. Come dressed for the weather! $2.50 per child payable the day of the field trip. Sign-up at the meeting or RSVP to wdworkman@aol.com.
