3. If you would like to get more involved with the group, consider one of the following opportunities:
PARTY COORDINATOR - organize Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter parties; the Valentine's & Easter Parties can be held at our regular meeting place & time, the Christmas party usually needs to be at another location since that is also a busy time at the church.
EVENING OF CELEBRATION - (an end of the year evening that dad's, grandparents, etc. can attend) decide where & when our end of the year celebration will be. This could include an awards ceremony and/or a fair where the children can display their work.
PE, PLAY DAY - In the past, we have had weekly park day when we weather permits. More organized activities could be added.
NURSING HOME OUTREACH - In past years, the children have practiced songs to sing at area nursing homes. If singing isn't your thing, I'm sure that they would appreciate any type of visit that you put together.
BOWLING - Call Bowl Haven the week before our monthly bowling day to make sure they know we're coming; collect the money (1.75/game) from everyone and turn it in at the end of bowling time.
FUNDRAISERS - Organize a fundraiser; we have several fundraiser type catalogs to pick from or you could try to organize something on your own.
MOM"S NIGHT OUT - Organize some "Mom's only" socializing
SCIENCE/ART/GEOGRAPHY/HISTORY/? FAIR - organize a science fair type evening, at the end of the year, where the children can show of their work. This could be combined with the Evening of Celebration.
PRESCHOOL/YOUNG ELEMENTARY COORDINATOR - organize activities that will appeal to our younger members; could be library story times, nature center trips, shorter field trips, etc.
