This recipe was requested by Genamayo after I offered it so here goes my favorite zucchini cake recipe.  I could eat this every week, but shouldn't.

Mix dry ingredients below.

2 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup cocoa

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

Beat together 1/2 cup butter.

1/2 cup oil

1 1/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

Add dry ingredients alternately 1/2 cup buttermilk and 2 cups grated zucchini to buter/oil mix.  Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips (the best part). 

Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan and bake at 325 for 55 minutes.

OOOhhh!! Yummy!! I just asked for zucchini recipes on my blog yesterday, especially chocolate zucchini cake. :) Wonderful timing!!

Chocolate Zucchini Cake!!!! I LOVE it! I make it every summer and make sure to freeze some. At first I thought it would be wierd tasting but it was great. I hope people try this. BTW you don't have to feel bad if you use all whole ingredients. Then the only bad thing is the chocolate.

I make it but I make it with carob instead. (0: My 2ds is allergic to choc. so we do it this way. I am missing my garden this year and all the zuccinni that we usually get. Maybe next year. (0:
