• Jul. 14, 2008 - Beach Mama

Our homeschool group goes to the beach every Thursday. I love to go sit in my chair, visit with the other moms, and stare off into the waves. In the two years that we have lived here I have yet to go into the water more than up to my knees. Mostly because it is usually just me and the girls at the beach and I can't leave them to go play in the water. Joel goes with us to the beach in the winter. But then it is way to cold to go into the water, which is always freezing anyway. But this last Thursday Joel's plans changed at the last minute so he came to the beach with us. I took advantage of it and took the boogie board (thanks to the Davis' for the board- they figured they wouldn't need it in Illinois) and hit the waves! Rhonda, another mom, and I had a blast and we only wiped out a few times.  I couldn't lay on my stomach on the board due to the largeness of my belly but I managed to make it work. So fun!!
