I'm sssiiiiccckkk :-P
In case none of you saw the last comment from my mom, last night I had a fever. I would've posted yesterday night, but somebody (MOM) turned the computer off for the night. I don't really have a fever now. It's 98.6, but my normal is a little lower than that.... I think. My mom let me stay home from church today with my dad, and he's acting really goofy. Nothing new though. LOL
(He says I'm acting goofy! ME! I never act goofy! Exept... oh nevermind.

Lazy Day
Yesterday evening I went to a harvest carnival at my church. Since I'm twelve years old, I'm a helper. The game that I was to help with had a board that stood up, a hole in the middle, and the kids were supposed to throw bean bags in the hole, then I'd give 'em candy. The children's pastor said I could tell them to pick up the bean bags after they were done. I didn't though, because it didn't seem like that much work picking up 5 bean bags from the floor each time. I'm not sure how many times I bent down to get them, but my legs hurt so bad! After a while I asked the kids to pick them up when they were done. Some did, some didn't hear me, and some were really young so I did it myself. I guess going up and down the stairs a few times after that didn't help much either! After the games, the kids went upstairs to watch a movie. I left early since my legs hurt so much.
Today, Saturday, I got up about nine and watched TV with my dad, then my mom, then myself. I stopped watching it about 4 o'clock. Now I'm on the computer, and I don't know what I'll do next. My legs hurt so bad I don't feel like doing anything that takes getting up and moving much. I probably sound lame; I really hurt bad!

Brace face
Yesterday I went to the dentist. I had to get my braces tightened. My mom and I were in the waiting room. A boy about... IDK 5 or 6 y.o. and his mom came in. He said "Mom" about 100 times. You know those wire toys with the different sized/colored beads on them? He started playing with that. He kept asking his mom if she would play it with him. After he asked her, I think I heard him say something about not being very good at it. If you know what the toy I'm talking about is, then you would know IT'S NOT THAT COMPLICATED. I'm pretty sure he was just saying that to try to get his mom to play with him though.
I found out that I will get my braces off around December.

Sun. and Mon.
My dad cut down the bushes out front. It looks strange. But now I can swing on my swing without hitting the bushes!! They were HUGE!!
Sunday morning, my mom wasn't feeling very good. So we stayed home from church. She woke me up at 7 AM (the time I wanted up) to tell me that. She said I could sleep in if I wanted to. I didn't know if I'd be able to go back to sleep. But I tried any way. When I woke up I look at the clock. It said 10:50! That clock is fast, but it's not THAT fast!! I don't know how I slept that late, because it's not like I stayed up late or anything!
Suday afternoon my dad started cuting some branches off of our tree out front. He didn't want them hanging over the roof any more.
This afternoon I had a friend come over. We played a Nancy Drew game on the computer. It's call "Mystery at Shadow Ranch" or something like that. She helped me figure out a LOT! If she hadn't helped me I'd probably still be stuck on the first day!! Okay so we're only on the second day, but we've accomplished a LOT! (and maybe injured some chickens and a horse a few times. Thank God for those "Second chance" buttons!!)

Yesterday evening/night
My dad got back from his trip Friday night. Yesterday I asked him if he wanted to sleep in the tent. He said we could, so after supper we built it. The first thing you have to do is lay it out flat. My cat, Sammy, came over and layed down on the flap in the front. My dad and I were getting some long thingys and putting them together. My cat got a look in his eye like he was going to attack it! Dad started playing with him. It was funny! We started staking the front and back before making the tent come up. My cat layed on the top of the tent. Not for very long though. This morning we got up about 7:30, but I wasn't planing on going to church. Mom left to go about an hour ago. I'm just staying here to hang out with dad. He's still trying to sleep, inside, on the couch, and now the bed. LOL
While I was getting ready to eat some bacon, I went outside to give some to Sam. I think the groundhog that lives under my neighbor's shed was in our yard. It hid when I ran out there.

I need a title? Okay lemme think... How about, no that wouldn't work...
I wanted to post this before, but didn't get around to doing it. On Labor day (I know that's aLONG time ago.) I went to the park with some people from our church. Let's just say I ended up with some A. B. C. (Already Been Chewed) gum and little rocks on my leg and under my shoe..
Sticky.
Yesterday I was walking to church, which is only a few blocks away. I saw a dog that wasn't on a chain. I didn't bark at me, it actually looked friendly. I kept on walking past and it came over to me. It ran around me a few times, then jumped up on me. I didn't look like the mean ones who want to bite your head off, but I still didn't want a dog I didn't know jumping up on me. (Plus I was sorta afraid it would rip my shirt. You DO NOT mess with my clothes if your going to mess them up.) The next time it jumped on me, I punched it. As my dad would probably say "You punch like a girl." But I didn't really wanna hurt it. I just didn't want it on me. Any way the dog went back into the yard and I started walking. Then faster. Then I ran. Guess who thought this was tag? The dog chased me (playfully). I thought I might knock me down or something. So I stoped in the middle of the street, turned around, punched it when it jumped. Said "God, help me!" since it wasn't running away. Then it went to the other side of the street. I walked passed a few houses then got to church. I was too shake'n up to have fun so I called my dad to pick me up. (I WAS NOT walking back.) Then my dad took me to get ice cream. I'm probably going up a size. LOL J/K

I know what I want to do when I'm an adult!
I took a test online and it said I'd be good at being a secretary. That's what my mom and I were thinking. But there was one problem. Lately I've been thinking I want to be a doctor, except... I hate blood. I guess it's not that bad. But one time I bent my toe-nail back when I stubbed it, and it started bleeding. The idea of a nail bent back made me feel sick, so my mom had to help me my mom had to take care of it. LOL I talked to my mom about it and she said I could be an office manager for a doctor's office. So for now I want the be an office manager for a pediatrician's office when I grow up.

School Started... for me
I know school is a week away, but I wanted to start early. I'm just on a school break. I normally don't like school, but we've (my mom and I) have gotten in more organized. Now I like it. I know, I have organizing issues. I only have 5 more minutes to be online.
P. S. I don't know how my mom got to post smileys when she was on my account. It tells me I can't! (But this smiley is from an e-mail, not blogging.)

Doctor's office called
This entry is from Rachel's mom:
The doctor's office called and said that Rachel does not have mono.
That is great news. All of the other test results are in and the only thing that showed anything wrong is her white cell count. It was high, which means she had a nasty bacterial infection. She can now go back to normal activities, and take time to rest, as she feels she needs it.
She started feeling much better over the weekend and not spending so much time in bed. She even went outside and played for a while last night.
Since she is feeling better, she told me that she wants to start doing ALL subjects in school starting next Monday. You should see me running around, trying to get the house in order and everything organized!
Rachel just put a lot of pressure on me!
That's OK though -- I am just very thankful that she is feeling much better. ![]()

Thank goodness!
My mom was talking to her mom on the phone. My grandma said that to break my spleen it would take something very big. Not just monkeying around or anything. Mom said it would have to be like a car wreck and the sterring wheel would hit my side and break it open. I can't drive so that should be happening. What a relief! I probably won't be feeling any more pain in my side "spleen" (actually my mind playing tricks on me) related. Boy I feel stupid! :-P

Annoying spleen issues
The doctor said something to me and my mom about my spleen might be swollen. (If I have Mono that is.) So I should be careful not to monkey around a hole bunch or it could possibly bust or something. My mom showed me where my spleen was, and she said if I had pain around there to tell her. My neighbor came over to see if I wanted to play. I went outside and sat on our swing with her. She started crawling on me trying to get some helicoptor seeds in my mouth. I told my mom what happened and asked her if that could have done damage to my spleen. She told me that I'd probaly feel it if there was something wrong. So twice (once last night and once today) I've felt pain. It could just be my mind playing tricks on me, but I don't know what to think. If something serious would happend and I let it slide, I might die, or have something wrong any way.

Bored, tired, still bored, still tired.
I just got up about 15 minutes ago. I could hardly stand up. I feel so weak. I slept in my clothes 'cause I was too tired to change. I guess that could partly be because I stayed up 'till a little after 10 PM. I normally only need 10 hrs of sleep, but I feel so tired. Not tired enough to sleep though, just lay in bed or something. It's a good thing I have a TV in my room. Otherwise I'd probably be spending the day on the couch in our family room so I could watch TV. Yesterday after I got home from the hospital I got in bed and watched TV and rested some. I didn't do it for very long, but I got bored. I probably should be doing a lot of resting, but it's so stink'n BORING! At least I won't be doing that much school. I'm sort of crazy, I can't think strait.

Oh boy
Lately when I get up in the morning I feel week and dizzy. Sometimes I even feel like I have no energy. This morning, as usual I felt crazy when I got up. I got ready for the day then I went in my room to make my bed. Except for the animals I decorate my queen sized bed with, I had gotten everything made. I started feeling like I had no energy. My mom and dad gave me a pill to take. I couldn't swallow it because I felt like I would gag! I went to the doctor and found out I might have Mono. Also she looked in my mouth and said I have a narrow throat or something like that. It could be why I don't like taking pills (and never have). I went to the hospital and they had to take blood from my arm. That grosses me out. That's mostly why it hurt so much.
A while ago I went outside to find my mom. I felt like I had more energy when I walked. (Crazy I know.) So we went for a walk around the block. I'm getting ready to eat dinner right now.

This is crazy!
I use this Clearasil stuff on my face. I'm running out so my mom and I went to buy some more. The store didn't have the regular stuff I use, they just had sensitive skin kind. My face can break out easily, so I decided to get that. Plus it was the only kind I saw. Guess what? MY FACE BROKE OUT. With the SENSITIVE kind!! I don't get it!

My Day
Last night I spent the night at my friend's house. I got back home this afternoon. I was bored so I asked my mom if we could play a game or something. I waited a little for her to finish what she was doing, then she asked if I wanted to make chocolate chip cookies. I said I did so we started making them. After they were finish and had time to cool off a bit we ate some. She has eaten like 5 or something and I have ate 1. *shock* LOL I'll probably eat another one when my dad gets home and starts eating them before dinner.

About me
The things below are in my profile, but I didn't know how many people would actually go there to see it. I'm not sure how many people who come here really know who I am, so I thought I would use it as my first post.
As you know, my name is Rachel. I just turned 12 and I keep forgetting. LOL! I have a black cat named Sammy. I'm an only child, except for my dad who is sometimes as annoying as a sibling. He says he has to annoy me because I have no siblings to do that. LOL again!
