God Has Big Plans for Us!

God's Gift part 2
I have started to realize I may need an attitude adjustment. It really was not evident to me until recently. But when I take a step back and look at my life, I see alot of attitude I am tossing around and did not even realize it. I guess without truly examining our own self and putting the focus on our significant other; we miss the whole picture. I am guilty as charged ....We are all bona fide sinners. I am no better by any means when it comes to my hubby(although at times I have felt more spiritual than him) But that doen't make me better or "holier than thou"! That just goes to show I have a plank I have to get out of my own eye before I go removing a speck from my hubby's eye.
I know it will take real effort to make a heavenly marriage. I am willing to do all that it takes to make my marriage better every day, every hour...by doing the right things. By doing the right things (decisions) every day I believe I can be the gift to my husband that God intended me to be.
"And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him'(Gen. 2:18)
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22)
I love in the helpmeet book when it says the following..and I quote... "If you are a wife, you were created to fill a need, and in that capacity you are a "good thing," a helper suited to the needs of a man. This is how God created you and it is your purpose for existing. You are, by nature, equipped in every way to be your man's helper.
"If God created a special woman, perfectly suited to be your husband's helper, would you be that woman?"
"A Good Help Meet has a Passion to be of Service
The words help meet bring up images in my mind of a woman who serves others. A good help meet will have a passion to be of service. Her first calling is to be of service to her husband, then her children, and when time affords, her passion of service will spill over to serving others."
My driving force in reading the Created to be His Help Meet is that I believe it is God's will for me and it is very much a bible based study. If it did not go along with what the bible says I would not continue to read it or even apply it to my life. I know in my heart I am honoring God by honoring my husband and by following God's will for my life.
"All who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given every blessing, and shall have wonderful peace."Psalm 37:11
Proverbs 27:23-24
"Know the state of your flocks, and put your heart into caring for your herds, 24 for riches don't last forever, and the crown might not be secure for the next generation. "
